Green Tiefgruen Coupe - New Interior

Love the caramel, really goes well with the green! Speaking of which, fun to hear you’re as mesmerised by the range and depth of this particular shade of green as I am. Try to get it out in the evening sun sometime, golden hour, half overcast conditions. There’s a hint of gold in there

As they say, imitation is one of the best compliments, so I’d love to see how yours ends up

Also really like the idea of getting them side by side sometime. I’d love a UK roadtrip, so perhaps that’s something we can set up in due time. I plan on making the trip next spring to visit my sister as well. Zedfest 2023 is also definitely a must; let’s see how many Tiefgruen coupes we can muster 8)

Lovely colour, can’t be many with caramel interior

Wheels BMW 200’s I think

They are indeed style 200’s, and interestingly my green coupe also came with these fitted. Standard SE spec on green..? :P

Based on my facelift brochure 200s were standard on the SEs and MV2s on the Sports.

With the lovely but painful 108s optional!

Lovely colour, after Sepang this is my favourite colour on a Z.

I’ve a lot of polishing and refinishing to do but I’d love a Sepang / Tiefgruen shot one day as well! The challenge is on :)

Little update today getting underneath. Replacement lower arms on order.

The colour looks great. Think the dash in Piano Black would really set the interior off.

What’s the mileage?

Piano black for the win I think as well! Only other option I’m going to test is a leather dash in the same as the seats. (Although I’m thinking of Dark Sepang Hell Bronze)

105k on the clock.

First side off this morning. Looks like the control arm has taken the impact as designed. I’ll get a better feel when the replacements arrive. I’m most impressed that it seems to have bent the pin!

It’s got H&R springs on. I’m going to take them off and lift it slightly onto Eibachs. The speed bumps would have a field day on the bumper round here!

Love that ramp you’ve got Chris

Great piece of kit to be honest. It tilts both ways on hydraulics as well as raises which is handy. Quite hard to find these days.
I had to lash the wooden ramps together so a Zed can clear it although I've got planning to extend the garage and I'll sink it into the floor. I'd love a 2 post ramp so I could park one above the other.

Well there is a pile of at least 14 sitting behing the car

See Friday's post at 0955 Hrs

It must be my equivalent of shoes. I just seem to aquire them!

Front suspension rebuild completed today. I’ve lifted it up off H&R’s onto Eibachs. With new Sachs dampers both sides it should be a good ride.
Other new bits include Miele HD control arms and drop links, new tie rod ends, top mounts, discs and anti role-bar bushes.

Took the chance to dust off the rust on the hub while there. I’ll come back to the silver callipers another time when I’m in cosmetic territory.

Rear end next and removing the straight exhaust. Although I’m going to disturb the peace with it a few times first!

I am hopz121, I'll lose some money on it as well given the work and time I've put into it so far.
However the Tiefgruen Green story doesn't end here. :)
I now have two and can't keep both.
