Got it one Ronk, just annoying as the excess will be 400 quid. I do wonder sometimes to just use a beater.

The cost will undoubtedly be more than the excess but your premiums will go up but hopefully not by much.
I hate car parks with the Z'd and we try to avoid but not always possible but if I'm going to a retail park or shopping I take our 'beater' funnily enough nobody wants to park near it. Even though it's not yet become a 'beater' looks wise.

I got a similar knock on my old E89 the day before I was taking it in to PX for my new (current) E89. I was absolutely mortified at what the effect was going to be on picking up my new zed.
I arrived at the dealers (Sytner Nottingham) next day and pointed it out immediately (could have kept quiet and hope they wouldn't notice, but honesty is the best policy!). They looked at it, shrugged, and said don't worry about it, we'll sort it! Must have been as desperate as I was for the deal to go through.

That can be repaired for around your excess charge, do not go through your insurance as you will have a fault claim on file and be paying for it dearly for the next few years, equally its madness if you are only keeping the rented car for a couple of months longer! Even if you do go through your insurance they will not replace with new parts for a bump and will repair the areas.

Carparks should be monitored by snipers for the door warriors and bad parkers :evil:
Hope its not too expensive to get sorted mate! I always try to find a space thats out the way and one side is to the wall then park as close to the wall as possible to avoid as much as I can other people
