As for my patience, ha ha, I have none really. Just needed to wet my Zed cherry sooner rather than later. The price I paid makes it a nice purchase.
As for winter jobs.
Yep, DISA replacement with the upgrade kit will get done.
Full detail and machine polish.
Clean up the roof and get it 'proofed' with either Nanolex or the Gtechnic equivalent.
Maybe swap the 'whippy' aerial but the OEM one is not that obtrusive or ugly so that may stay.
Wheels are in good nick but I'll have them refurbed while it's SORN. Anyone know the OEM colour of these for when they get refurbed?
Coil packs and springs can wait for now as I'll replace them as and when required.

Just remember the roof should never be sealed. It's designed to be porous and has a butyl second layer. Better use BMW kit or Ragtopp.
You'll change the aerial once you poke yourself in the eye with it...

Just one word of warning regarding the coil packs .. its not just a case of replacing when they need doing .. once they go they go. You have a primary coil and a secondary coil, normally the secondary coil will go open circuit just like that (normally on start up) and can be the most awkward place and can be very inconvenient ..
I had this happen on our X3 (same engine M54) and our E85 3.0i when we owned it ... once we where in the lake district on our way home to the hotel.
These coil packs are getting old now so just trying to help from experience, they are about £29 each .. at least purchase one as a spare and leave it in the boot ( or a good used one ) just a good proactive piece of servicing .. don't get caught out like we did.

No wind deflector with the car so that needs sorting as our A5 Cab was like night and day with and without the wind defector up.
Where can I get one from and which/what are the best ones to go for and what budget??
jamesbond said:also they are very easy to change .. I have a few old ones in my garage that I can send you if you want .. just pm me you address and I will send you a couple![]()

You learn something new everyday.
So, is that right, don't seal the roof? What dos the BMW and Ragtopp kit do?
