Got my Z4MC and its covered in snow! (plus a few questions)

66-96 a week? Turn it in! If that was the case every street will have one on soon enough!

What Andy is saying is that he is happy with his system! Do you update your sat nav every week? :headbang:

People are really pi**ing me off on this forum with their attitude!! [/quote]

Said goodbye to my 350Z on Saturday morning,

Hi Mark welcome.

I went from a 350Z to the Z4MC - got the silver one as well! I loved the 350z and miss it now and again. Loved the engine note at low revs and i feel it to be a better long distance driver too. But i couldnt go back after the Z4MC - just so much more brutal. Superb.

Cupholders - bizarre these are an extra, can they be DIY fitted or do it have to go to BMW? Any ideas of cost?

I find it bizarre people expect cupholders in a high performance orientated sports car, it`s for driving and having fun, not for drinking in .
I think the Z4 basic spec is about right although some purests/minimalists might prefer to not have aircon as standard to save a bit more weight.

You won't be wanting your DSC, DTC, ABS, airbags, heater, leather, seat cushioning then - after all do you really need them in a proper sports car :P

As for the cupholders, I find it's handy to have somewhere to stick your bottle of water when you're doing 200 miles in one stint - the space in the doors isn't useful for anything other than storing pens, and the glovebox isn't even big enough for gloves.

Another stero question! When I rung BMW to check the history on my Roadster they said one of the options was "speaker upgrade" I have two pretty big speakers behind the seats I assumed that was the upgrade? Where is the Aux in located under the dash? I'm guessing I might not have an aux in on mine.

Aux is normally in the access panel beneath the Air-con controls... or sometimes next to the cigarette lighter.

If you don't have it, it is an easy retrofit if required

You're not wrong about the glove box, it's bloody tiny. Only just got the manuals in there after a fight!

Think you're too early for the aux point, I thought about an 07 plate as a minimum but could be wrong.

You're right on both counts, no aux but I do have somewhere for the manual on the back of the seat. The seats don't fold forwards by the look of things which seems a bit unusual...

I've got an Aux port on mine late 2006 / 56 plate. I'm guessing that it is an 07MY spec car. I think there were a few minor changes on the 07 car from looking at the specs on Parkers - does anyone have a definitive list?
