Gone ///M after a long wait . . . .

Steph and I have always been really pleased with our 3.0si and hadn't felt the need to move on to an ///M. But there was one particular ///M on the forum which I'd always admired and some time ago I asked sammyz if he would give me first refusal if he ever sold it - he told me there was a queue!
We were surprised but delighted to receive a text asking if we were still interested last week. After a bit of deliberation and a meet up for a test drive, we did the deal and I collected the ///M today.

Driving the M62 across to the A1 and back from Liverpool to Newcastle (to avoid the traffic queues on the M6) is no way to get to know the capabilities of the ///M but I'm looking forward to getting to know it better over the weeks ahead.
It's been a long day but thanks to sammyz for the chance to buy his immaculate ///M - It looks fabulous as I look out the window of our house.

Congratulations Paul - sure you'll enjoy that

... it goes faster 'coz it's red <innit!>

Congrats Paul. I knew you really wanted one although the rational part of you said no.

Cars and rationality have no place together :D

Enjoy getting to know your M and having seen it in the flesh it's a cracker

Less room for cleaning stuff in the boot. You will have to travel light from now on

Enjoy Paul

Happy times for sure Paul , its inevitable when the Z bug bites to want to own one & doubt you will be at all disppointed
Now before srhutch gets at you , straighten that rear ///M badge

I'm too busy think about the 450k garage with pit I've just bought to notice small details like that

Congratulations Paul, it looks lovely and I know your going to have some big grins in the forthcoming weeks :driving:

Nice one Paul, looks superb, very impressive motor, sure you and Steph are gonna have an enormous amount fun in with it,saw this last year on the Castles cruise an thought then, I like that, look forward to seeing it in the flesh again in the near future  :driving:

Perfect purchase from one of the Forums Most committed Drivers

Lovely car and those wheels are stunning

Too true....was very very surprised that John finally, actually sold it,and that it didn't get snapped up by Tony and Ruth,as they have nearly bought this a couple of times, lol.

John could have waited until after the National though,haha......
Will be weird not sharing lead duties with John in his ImolaRed M .......he certainly knows how to drive this great machine :driving: :D

I am sure you will have fun in getting to know it's extra capabilities over the 3.0's,Paul.

So you buying a new house or business, srhutch??
That's alot of money, just so you can do diy services......cheaper taking it to someone, haha

House, deals agreed today, so early days. Can't believe I will have a pit, although not sure how much use they are. Be handy for cleaning underneath hopefully.

Cool.....handy,and not something you get too often....my Uncle and Papa used to have a pit, though they had garages(business).

It will be handy for cleaning the underside of the M,haha :D
