So, I took my GM5 out to send out to be repaired. After 5 days of no update on tracking I've resigned myself to the fact that the Royal Mail have lost the item (sent Royal Mail Special Delivery)
Like a right plonker I didn't take a direct photo of the part number sticker, I do have one photo that vaguely shows the part number sticker but you can't make out the text. The only thing I notice is that the BMW logo on the sticker is on the opposite side to most, so I think I've narrowed down the part number.
If I was to buy a direct replacement of the same part number would it be a matter of slotting it in and then just recording the keys. Obviously I can't pull of any data of the unit that is now lost
