Gloss Black Wrap on Roof + Scratch Protection

For years I wanted to cover my roof with gloss black wrap. I knew it'd look nice with the hatch and the few oem carbon fiber bits I have. However what's held me back till now is knowing gloss black tends to scratch very easily as compared to matte or cf wrap. Thus the only alternative was to paint the roof which would be very costly and irreversible.

Fast forward a few years while I'm getting a clear bra for my bumper, I brought up the issue with gloss black with my installer. He asked why not just cover the wrap with paint protection film (the same one he used for my bumper)? Couldn't believe the solution was easy as this. So I waited few months till summer since the wrap and clear bra would have to go on same day when it was hot. Results below.

Best of all, my guy charged me less than that others quoted for the vinyl wrap job alone!

Black roof into the really dark rear screen looks ace on the coupe - very swoopy, finishes it perfectly

And that is the best plate on the forum bar none 8)

Any idea where/how to fit carbon/satin black film? Loving the look!

My mate has his own tinting and wrapping business in Mansfield.
Let me know what you want and I'll ask him.

Looks great. 8) A relativly cheap upgrade to change the look and can be removed easily rather than paint.

Looks perfect. I've had mine for over a year and no issues so far!

Trying to remove dry bird poo can easily scratch it, so the scratch protection seems to be a brilliant idea.

nice, is the clear bra stuff the venture shield from 3M?

i contacted their nearest retailer to me (in Altrincham) and they quoted £300 fitted for the z bumper... holy crap that is expensive does it work long term
