For years I wanted to cover my roof with gloss black wrap. I knew it'd look nice with the hatch and the few oem carbon fiber bits I have. However what's held me back till now is knowing gloss black tends to scratch very easily as compared to matte or cf wrap. Thus the only alternative was to paint the roof which would be very costly and irreversible.
Fast forward a few years while I'm getting a clear bra for my bumper, I brought up the issue with gloss black with my installer. He asked why not just cover the wrap with paint protection film (the same one he used for my bumper)? Couldn't believe the solution was easy as this. So I waited few months till summer since the wrap and clear bra would have to go on same day when it was hot. Results below.
Best of all, my guy charged me less than that others quoted for the vinyl wrap job alone!
