Yesterday I was toying with the idea of painting my brake calipers so I thought I'd pull a wheel off to take a look at what I'd be dealing with. I jacked the car up and removed the lug nuts. I went to pull the wheel off the hub and to my surprise I couldn't. I tried breaking the wheel loose by hitting it with the palms of my hands and even kicking it a few times but it wouldn't budge. I figured my next move was to get a block of wood and a heavy hammer and try to hit it from the backside of the tire. I was a little short on time so I just reinstalled the lug nuts and desided to deal with it when I had more time. So, before I go whacking at it, are there any tips I should know that might make things go a little easier? :?
