Getting a 35is- GOT IT!! Pictures added!

Running is 1200 miles , Yes I use the highest octane I can , dont really know if it improves performance but Im guessing it doesnt do any harm

Thanks for this :)

I am getting the car on a BMW Select finance contract running over three years- can't quite afford to buy the car outright just yet

I was wondering whether anyone could tell me whether I can put a private number plate on the new car? AFAIK it is ok to do this without upsetting the dealerships. Anyone had any had experience of this?

I have been put off doing any retuning or remapping as it looks very much like the dealerships will void the contract and warranty resulting in an immediate termination of the contract. Any info on this would also be appreciated.

Cheers :D

Trust me... once you've driven it, you'll not feel the need for a remap, not under normal road use, it's already very very quick.

Actually, it sounds so good I wish it wasn't quite so quick, because after a few seconds of full welly you're approaching light speed and all you hear is mostly wind noise and the fabric of the space time continuum starting to tear.

Such a beautiful sounding engine and exhaust when you make it angry.

Just beware the RFTs in your enthusiasm - they're pretty good in the warm but awful once the temperature gets below about 7C and in cold, damp conditions they are truly exciting! Over the last couple of days with the drop in temperature I've had a few unintentional drift moments.

Not to mention the lower the temp, the harder they become and more likely to damage alloys which are equally colder and more fragile.

Darn those blasted runflats. Don't believe there was any option to have standard tyres. Oh well. I will take heed of this great advice and certainly be wary in the cold. Thanks :)

Am I permitted to put a private number plate on a car on a finance product?

Getting excited now as in approximately 20 hours I will be sitting in a 35is :D :D :D

Cheers

Yes you can put a private plate on a car with BMW Finance....you just need to advise them of the number.

I am sure you will love the car..... :D

Guess what :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'VE FINALLY GOT A 35is :D :D :D :D :D !!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I feel like a child again. How embarrassing  What a beautiful machine and what a an engine note, wow :D . She's in mineral grey. I was going to post some pics today but I forgot to take my camera to the garden centre which has much nicer photographic environment than my shabby little abode. Will post these hopefully tomorrow.

I am sporting a permanent grin at the moment however, the local butch tom cat in our area sprayed it's urine on the back bumper taking full ownership of the car after we had had it less than an hour...... don't you just love them!!

Only one minor glitch. I think the BMW assembly line forgot to install the interior boot release button by the side of the drivers foot well :( . Not essential but will let the dealer know shortly.

I am in love again  :D :D

Enjoy! Unfortunately, you don't get the boot button in the UK - well it's not on mine and a good many others. If you have comfort access though it's not a real problem.

like garvin says, no boot release button in footwell...... i always open the boot from the key remote anyway

Hey thanks all for the advice on the boot release button. I think I noticed the absence of this due to the fact it was on my previous zed. No worries as there is comfort access :)

Pics promised tomorrow :D

:D :D :D

Pics as promised. Bit of a grey day but didn't take the shine away from the car. Really want to get past 1200 miles now and unleash the beast!! :D Apologies for the migraine inducing number plate blurring.
