Gearknobs - alternatives

I really like the Storm Motorwerks V1 (as per last post) and also the V2 for a more retro BMW shaped gear knob. You can pick a number of different emblems and they also do a matching handbrake handle (see below).

This is the one I now use (tried 4 different kinds) and i like it the best. Short, nice weight and excellent feel from the vented leather.

I was looking at my knob on the Skye run (Oooer, Matron) and noticed its starting to look a bit worn.

What I wondered is, is anyone running a shorter knob ZHP or Alternative in conjunction with the LeatherZ armrest (I'm not removing it, as I think it's one the best things for comfort that I've done in the Zed) and what the repercussions are, or should I just replace it with a standard one.

Don't really know why but I've taken a bit of shine to this one
