I know this is probably a bit of a sore subject but I'm curious.
How much is gas per gallon / litre in your part of the world??
Here in Flagstaff Arizona 91 octane (premium) is $3.69.9 a gallon (highest in the state). :headbang:
( I have a feeling this is low compared to across the pond)
 
Just filled up Shell V-Power (99 RON) at £1.10 a litre :| but still good value when you compare litre per smile :D

DAMN! :o Currency converter shows that's about $8.50 a gallon (I hope it's wrong)! I'll quit bitching about $50.00 to fill up.
 
Based on £1.14/ltr thats £5.19 per UK gallon or $10.23 in US money!

And almost all of it is tax - Welcome to the UK!

This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective

Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ... $10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ..........$9.52 per gallon

Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ..... $10.17 per gallon

Oc ean Spray 16 oz $1.25 . $10.00 per gallon

Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 . $33.60 per gallon

Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 .. $123.20 per gallon

Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ....... . $25.42 per gallon

Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 .....$84.48 per gallon


And this is the REAL KICKER...


Evian water 9 oz $1.49..$21.19 per gallon! $21.19 for WATER and the buyers don't even know the source

(Evian spelled backwards is Naive.)

So they have you hooked for the ink.
Someone calculated the cost of the ink at...............
(you won't believe it....but it is true........)
$5,200 a gal. (five thousand two hundred dollars)


So, the next time you're at the pump,be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, Pepto Bismol, Nyquil or God forbid, Printer Ink!

So thats £4.00 per gallon and 2 US $ to one £ thats $8.11 per gallon!

I won't complain about $3.69 anymore.

lol. your gallon is slightly smaller however. And its all relative - I remember filing up in the states for 99c a gallon just a few years ago (well 13 I guess). In the same time the price here has 'only' doubled.
 
91 Octane in Toronto = $1.261 CAD per litre

That's the rough equivalent of:
4.67 USD / US Gallon
0.62 GBP / litre
0.78 EUR / litre

I think you'd have to go back to 1997 to find a 0.62 GBP litre here.
 
I filled up 2 days ago with Shell V Power 93 Octane in Allentown PA for $3.57 per US Gallon... :(
 
Here in Montréal, the price is fluctuating on a daily basis. Today, regular unleaded (Octane 87) is $1.254/Litre. Premium Unleaded (Octane 91) is $1.334/Litre. :(

Im also glad I dont use 50 gallons of mouthwash, white out, pepto bismol, nyquil, or printer ink a week! :wink:
 
Filled up for the fist time this spring on the weekend. Sunoco Ultra 94 was $1.219/litre so not bad actually.

You may not want to use Sunoco Ultra 94 - it has lots of Ethanol and Ethanol and BMW engines do not go well together. Use Shell V-Power in Canada. It is no Ethanol in it.
