Gas prices

What are these gas prices? Sure I pay, but I know I have to pay....no sense worrying over the money spent for gas...it'll just give you gray hair or make you go bald that much sooner

^^^ agreed - plus more than 1/2 the price of gas is due to taxes imposed in the country you live in. If they just charged sales tax then the price of gasoline at the pump would be half what it is now. The other issue is the US$ - it has lost 30% of it's value in the last year or so. As you all know - gasoline is priced using US$.

I know, I lived in Germany for a while and filled up there once.
Although atm here in Vegas it costs me around 46 dollars to fill up the tank. It's even worse in L.A. area. I filled up once on the outskirts and it was a good 55 bucks. Granted with the Euro you probably paid around 65-70 USD so ya'll still have us beat

Euro is at an all-time high against the US $....Terminal 5 equivalent at O'Hare is going to be very busy this summer.

Here in Illinois premium gas is $3.67 a gallon but I am not going to complain my Mercedes gets something like 17MPG so the Z4 seems economical when compared to my ML. Although gas prices are ridiculous I think it could be and most likely will get much worse once Summer travel kicks in.

I live in a border area of Florida and Georgia. Regular has hit $3.50 a gallon in the last few days (diesel is over $4.00) and what used to be a 15- 20 cents reduction if bought in Georgia is only about 5 cents now. This has been quite a jump from the previous year. For the people across the pond, have your prices for gas gone up as dramatically in a short amount of time also? I know some of you are saying it's just gas and we still need to drive, but a lot of my friends who are by no means living on the edge financially have begun to talk food prices and other things. Anyone else?

Filled up for the fist time this spring on the weekend. Sunoco Ultra 94 was $1.219/litre so not bad actually.

You may not want to use Sunoco Ultra 94 - it has lots of Ethanol and Ethanol and BMW engines do not go well together. Use Shell V-Power in Canada. It is no Ethanol in it.

Thanks - I've never seen V-Power around here - do you have a specific station you use (preferrably towards Lambeth area)?

On the Ultra 94 - can you define "lots of"? Sunoco's site says "up to 10%" which is within BMW's guidelines.....

I can only hope that this will kill the big SUV dreams of soccer mom's worldwide. Hopefully it will steer away those guys that "feel" they need a full size pickup. But only use it to carry groceries and moving furniture that one time 5 years ago.
