Carparts4less/eurocarparts don't sell the sport shocks, as far as I'm aware, so they will be quoting main dealer prices for the shocks.

Shockers are... With standard chassis

Springs... With M-technology or without.

Just a rough guide to costs for OP but think he already knows the issue with the costs they've been quoted.

I think it says .2 for labour so the cost of £13 is correct. I agree with everyone though, the front damper cost seems very high (although I've never rang BMW for a price and this maybe the cost from them).

Good luck getting it sorted.
That's what i was seeing.

Please dont buy lesser known/unbranded parts unless your ditching the car in the near future as I wouldnt trust them to last long at all.

You should replace both left and right shocks.

Put the reg into Carparts4less and it'll bring up shockers. Phone them to confirm it's for the SI suspension.

Sachs Shocks for mine...

Front Left £107.61
Front Right £107.61
Rear £68.18 each

Front Springs £55.16 each
Rear Springs £91.32 each

Both front wishbones and lollipops.... £89

I'm not buying any parts Johnr32.

Any parts listed or priced were to give the OP an idea of costs compared to what had been quoted.

However..... I've replaced the rear springs on mine with springs from Carparts4less and not had any issues. Also both wishbones and lollipops with Meyle HD from an eBay supplier. Hope that meets with your standards.

Thanks for all the responses guys major help.
Ive decided to book the car in to have the gearbox and bushings sorted tomorrow as they need to be done ASAP. As for the shocks, I have found the Bilstein B8 Sport shock absorbers for around £200 each. Although its not a major saving it still helps. I will get the shocks done later down the line as currently i cant afford to get all the work done in one go.

As for the the rocker cover, with some mechanical knowledge, research and help from a trained mechanic. Ill tackle this one myself, along with the back box rubber mount.

Bloody love this forum, everyone is so active.
Thanks again guys
Will

Good stuff.

Any pics of the before and after the work is done might be helpful for anyone that has been he same car.

Check on the forum for any links to the Bilstein shocks as others have bought them cheaper from Germany.
