Before I owned my Z4's, I had a Skoda Octavia vRS, I had a trusted garage I could take it too and was very happy with their service. When I got my Z4 roadster, I wanted to find a good BMW Indy in the Bristol area. Ended up going to Clayton Cars but really wasn't impressed with their attitude, price or service.
After buying my MC, I needed to sort a few little things, of which the only tasks I couldn't manage myself was installing rear springs and rear brake discs/pads. So I thought I'd give this place a try:

The guy who owns and runs this place is called James. He is BMW mad, he carries out a variety of work from building M3 cars for the track to an oil service. He really knows his stuff and enjoys a good chat about cars in general. He must only be about 30 but has a wealth of knowledge about BMW's, especially the S54 engine. He is quite busy and is usually booked up for a month which says something, it's a small place and he works there on his own. Labour was £50 an hour, but things like the paste on the brakes he didn't charge me for and put high temperature stuff on too. He gave the car a once over, hooked it up to diagnostics, quick clean, cover on seat, steering wheel and mat etc.
There was another heavily modified Z4 there, having xenon balast done, anyone on here? Was silver 3.0si with quad conversion, aero skirts, Hamann front bumper...
Anyways, just thought I'd recommend this guy as I hate taking my car to a garage but this place fills me with confidence that it will be looked after, fair price and fixed by a real enthusiast. There is nothing in this for me doing this write up, just thought other local owners would appreciate having somewhere decent and safe to take their pride and joy too. Why go to Dick Lovett?! Seriously if you don't believe me take a drive to Redish and you'll see what I mean
