It's a third car so only very occasional use in the winter. Why? I don't particularly enjoy driving it in colder weather and don't need to.

No, 3rd car, company car for work and have 2 young kids so family chores dictate the Zed can't be used. As they get older the car will get used more. Very unlikely to use for winter though. Yes a nice blast on a fresh crsip dry winter day sounds nice, but we don't get many of them and I can save £160 by SORN during Winter.

only the nissan micra goes out in this pish :D

^^ this ^^
its a car, not a piece of soap!

Will be using mine occasionally over winter. Basically that means if its a nice day I'll fire her up. Usage increases with the amount of nice days. Not rocket science but its a formula that works for me.

mine is not a daily driver but will still use it all year round. not in the snow but don't mind if the weather is good.

sorn'd mine this winter - had my current zed for just on 2 years - covered only 500 miles - car is 2004 3.0SE and 29k miles - I've nearly sold it several times but when it comes to it I've backed off - I will tax it for 12 months in April and make a point of using it a lot more this year.

at the end of the day I'm not that bothered about what it's costing me - it's an 10 year old car worth around £7k tops - depreciation is minimal and for the money I'd never be able to replace it like for like :D

Similar to others, I will use mine on dry days during the winter.....Haven't had the Z4 long, but have had other convertible BMWs in the past and used them, with roof down (heated seats on) throughout the winter. I think a convertible is a great way of getting fresh air in the winter, otherwise I tend to hibernate.

As soon as its wet/icy, or I need to take the kids with me, I use my other car.

Garage queen... I have a 4x4 for winter and don't want my z'd to get dirty
+1

I commute to work on the train, we have an X3 for general duties and I got the Alpina as a toy... general rule of thumb is, if I can't drive it with the top down, it stays in the garage....

Daily user but thinking of getting a second car in the future hate the though of putting 11,000 miles on in one year which is what I have just done :( nearly hitting 60,000 on 07 plate not looking forward to hitting that milestone.

I've obviously been a bit slow so only just stumbled on this thread :(

don't need to read anymore - this 2nd post says it all

Daily driver and all year round transport.
Lives outside protected only with the 'Buzztop'

Currently the filthiest it's ever been and looks awful but there's little point spending 3 hours cleaning it at the moment.

///M however is in the garage on a trickle charger before it goes in for paint correction and detail next month.

:driving:

Garage queen as I have the pleasure of commuting on the ever reliable London Underground.

Mines a garage queen, I think it's been out in the rain about 4 times in 4 years, I'm not as precious as I used to be with other cars, I don't mind it getting wet :D I always clean it though afterwards before putting it back in the garage, sad I know :D

We have 2 other cars too so don't need to use it as an A-B car, fair weather, except for last weekend with OG when we were out in -4 temps, I did clean it when I got back though  clean, clean, clean

Daily drive for me :driving:
Motorbike has been relegated to 2nd choice since I bought the Zed
