Mine lives outside at the moment but not for too much longer, as my garage, which the previous owner had converted to a summer room, is about to become a garage once more.

Good man, quite right too - thought about converting my garage a couple of times before I got the Z but always thought it would knock a bit of value off the house. Now it is the Zed's Bed and staying that way

Parked in the garage. Insured on the drive (cheaper)

See, weird that - I asked Direct Line as I had read on here it cost more... They said it wouldn't change my premium either way :idunno:

You'd have thought in London a garage would be considered safer...

The intention was for mine to live in a garage but that fell through. Next a spot on the drive, that was knocked on the head by the wife's family bus :x Now Z lives on the road :headbang:
Yep .... I do as I'm told(until she goes out next......

Admiral did an article on confused.com about being lying about cars parked in the garage so they decided to put those rates up above the drive rates. Stupid they have such a free reign if you ask me..!

Garage - never bothered for 30 years to use it as a garage until I retired and got a "toy" - then I had buy another garden shed to store all the crap I used to keep in the garage

I think most zed owners with a garage will use it for their zed (if it will fit) :)

Not me - I have another car that get's first dibs on the garage... the Z4 and the oil burner sit outside, although the Z has a partial cover.

O Dan please tell what the other car is??

I have a garage and a drive in front. My garage is small. I scraped the Polo getting into it so there is NO way I'm going to put the Zed in it. I might have a go if/when I put foam up on the walls. I don't think the elements could do as much damage as me.

Driveway for mine. I usually open the boot (coupe / hatchback as you prefer) and let water run off if I pass it when the rain stops, as I heard of rust issues.
It never sits for too long though, as it's a daily driver, although my MTB will get more use this winter.

The gummi pfledge keeps the seals supple in the winter, and I haven't had a frozen window yet. The winter layer of wax is on, and I'm going to try and polish the 108s this year before the salt comes.

Looks like a bread van to me!? Very nice :D

I'd store my car inside if I could but I still think the single biggest problem is keeping the car clean underneath. I suppose the only way to be extra good is to not drive in winter at all and to have a controlled garage environment...

Really they should just start making more of your car out of plastic. It'd save all these problems. Given a 1980's carrier bag would last hundreds of years under the ground I think they should start making cars out of those
