Garage abusing my zed!!

Walking down the road to collect my zed from a garage this afternoon from having some work done to it, when I saw a z4 come flying past me, doing well over the speed limit (30), stopping to let the car in front turn off and then revved to buggery and wheelspinned off! got to the garage only to confirm it was my zed out on a test drive by the garage I was picking it up from!!!! speechless!!! :thumbsdown:

I'd speak to the manager about it. I'd be livid.

Part of the reason I always book a slot where I can hang about with a laptop.

My mother and wife don't drive the Z..... Says enough about how I'd feel if someone else does.

I used to have a VW passat took it to the garage to be looked at overnight one of them took it home for the night! I wasn't happy but they hardly charged me anything for the work so wasn't all bad I guess.

My car has to be driven like that for a small testdrive to pass the MOT, otherwise the aftermarket cats don't get up to the proper temperature to pass emissions.

Totally out of order, I really dread MOTs knowing some stranger is going to be crawling all over and driving my pride and joy as its just another chunk of machinery to them and unfortunately its something we just cannot avoid. I cannot believe it was a main dealer as they would risk a deserved instant dismissal. Hope all is ok with Zed. Cheers Baz :headbang:

It's normal practice , my mate was offered a race by a grease monkey from his own car , matey bought a brand new 997 , dropped it of for service and investigate a problem , drives up behind his new porsche in his 420 bhp evo on his way home and raced it ! Back to the main dealers :
This is the reason , amongst others , I think a main dealer service history is worth s**t , they charge a fortune for looking your car over , change the oil and filter and stamp the book , then tell you how important it is to have main dealer service history .

i remember once on piston heads fella took his monaro in, and noticed the miles seemed to have risen bit too much. So he asked the garage why and they said to test brakes or some excuse.

Thing was he had hidden dash cam, with front camera and gps/speed logged 125mph, he reported em to police
