Nice z, and good old Saltcoats.
I think there is nicer scenery than the Nonsuch lol

Car looks good Jim

I have to say the more of these you see ,the more I am getting to like them.

Yeah, likewise, and exactly what I have said to others since they came out...they will grow on you, then everyone will want to own one/start buying more of them.
Same with the e85, the Chris Bangle styling split opinion at first ,myself included wasnt too sure, then a couple of years later, bought my first one.
Same with the e89,got many moans about styling, now more people love them than don't.

The g29 is a lovely car, especially in m40 trim, but the front grille takes a bit of getting used to..all other angles are lovely,IMO. :D

I think a total number of 44 First Editions came to the UK and most were pre registered by dealers. Current numbers show 43 being registered and 1 SORN. There’s not many M40i around - 383 registered and 11 SORN. G29 3.0 shows 298 and 6 SORN and 2.0 195 and 1 SORN.

With numbers so low it’s got to be worth a nod or a wave when passing other G29’s!

Where did you find the SORN details... I think potentially I now own the 1 First Edition that was SORN after picking this up last week from the dealership after I peeked it hiding amongst the Covid cobwebs of the closed dealership In April (after being a Demonstrator I think);

Will try and get more scenic shots in the coming weeks  :D

Does the red really get that dark? or is it just the picture?
When i saw it in the showroom it looked a lot more like copper orange color.

I think it changes in the light and may also be the lighting in the picture.
Very interesting reading about the numbers of cars and those that are SORN. No wonder people keeping coming up to me and asking what it is and that they’ve not seen any on the roads. I’ve had two in the last week :D

You could well have registered the last of the First Editions. howmanyleft.co.uk show that all 44 that came to the UK are now registered.

The M40i numbers have also increased a little but not a lot. There’s still not many around and I totally get why it generates some interest when out and about. As for the colour, the Frozen Orange does look more orange and less red in reality.

Hope you enjoying the M40i as much as everyone else seems to be. It’s still ticking all the boxes for me. :D

Nice scenery... how about a brick wall in the customer parking area of the service dept for the recall 😔

That said. Glad to have gotten it in so soon! Back to the N47 F30 tractor 😂

Looks great though. I wish I had the black grille and edge pieces. All ties in together so well.

Has your car had the recall fix? If not have they given you an update re timescale? Mine due to go in Thursday and don’t want it hanging around the dealers for weeks!

That’s a good photo comparison between the red and frozen Orange as well.

Last minute trip to Europe. Return home via Stelvio and back across France over next couple of days. Will hopefully get another couple of photos on the way.

First time up the Stelvio in the M40i and it did not disappoint. Covered nearly 800 so far and seen only one other G29 in Germany. Nice chap gave me a wave as we passed.

Great Idea to do a trip and some stunning scenery there Obs-Com.
Glad the M40i is coping with its European jaunt so well. :)

Mine is booked for August and on seeing these photos, I’m really looking forward to it now.

Looks epic!

We’re planning a cruise to near Verona for my mates (postponed 2020) wedding in May next year and was looking at a possible route through the Stelvio pass!

Look forward to more shots

Sounds like we need a forum cruise to Europe! 👍🏼
