a boot that was ridiculously small and impractical for my purposes.
Yes we've seen your thigh-length 'kinky boots'! :poke:
Ah the ones I sold recently on eBay, purchased by the user @lovekinkyboots, was that you? 8)

If I had an E89 35is I wouldn't be buying a G29 to go with it, just one or the other.

I think the F-Type looks great, especially the Coupe, although the boot does look tiny. I seem to remember Clarkson saying on Top Gear that a space-saver was an option, but if you had to use it you couldn't get the punctured one in the boot! But a supercharged V8 would be different enough to sit alongside an E89, although I really like the XK8 too.

But then I also have a bit of a hankering for a V8 Mustang as well! Which would certainly be a bit different.

I wish! Got any more pictures of you 'modelling' them? :poke:

[ref]Stevo1987[/ref], bear in mind if you buy the Jaaag then you need to budget extra for an England Rugby shirt, a lightweight jumper to drape around your neck, and elocution lessons so you can say 'Hurrah!' loudly in a suitable Hugh Laurie-esque voice. :D

That’s pretty much why Kathleen says we’ll never get one (minus the England shirt of course :P ) Every time I bring it up she says “No, it’s an old mans car”

My personal opinion of them is boot is tiny for us as we don’t travel light and interior finishing wasn’t great on the couple I did look at, on my own :tumbleweed:

Old man's car is a thing of the past nowadays Andy.....you're thinking back to the days of the xjs/xj6, etc, lol.
The modern era Jags are more family SUV now.....and the F type is an excellent car to drive quickly.
Kathleen holds onto the purse strings then, haha?
Build quality is still not what it should be right enough, which is a pity.

I also had a hankering for the (RHD) V8 5L Mustang until I looked at one. They make Jag (and Dacia) build quality look positively regal. Typical American; great engines surrounded by utter dross.

The FType V8 is probably OK if you can live with the small boot avoid the 4 and 6 cyl Ingenium engine - questionable reliability, that aside Jaguar dealers are pretty poor.
Stick to a top line G29, unless you fancy a 911.

With me being a bit of a Ford fanboy I think that I could live with that though, and like Mr Tidy I would absolutely love to tick the 5.0 V8 Mustang box one day for sure. 8)

Cayman or Boxster any day over an F-type, or a G29 (as you've already got a Z4). I've read countless stories on the web regarding how terrible the Jag's build quality and reliability are.
Porkers are pretty depreciation-proof too!
The Porkers are good in residuals these days, especially things like Gt4 and gts cars....
Shame many Porsches still have Chocolate engines, lol

It’s a shame we didn’t get the GT350, now that would be the Mustang I’d want to own

I had several Fords in the 80s/90s and really liked them. I only went off them when they stopped making RWD ones, which is a big part of the appeal of a RHD Mustang GT.

After reading what people have said about Jaguar quality though I'd be more forgiving in a Ford!

Interesting enough I have never met anyone with a Porsche who actually had an issue, perhaps that is similar to M engine issues that are always mentioned on non BMW forums

Yeah, true Paul, but I'm talking about issues over the years ,and in fairly recent times too, with Bore score/Head Gaskets/Gearboxes,on cars that are ,in some cases, less than 5 years old.
And mainly from what I've read on Forums, etc.

Same with the M,where some owners have done 100k+ without any issues with Conrod bearing shell wear/damage,while others on here I know, have had replacement engines, under warranty,at around 20k miles due to problems.
And re the Conrod bearing shell wear,as said, some have had engines be ok upto 150k or more(before detonating), while my bearing shells were completely worn /on their last legs at only 62k, and the cars been in my Ownership most of its life, bar the first few years and 20k.
It's also always warmed up properly before going above 2.5-3k rpm.

It's the same thing,on a lesser scale, with some M owners putting upto 20mm spacers on their cars, with no issues re Rubbing arches(on standard wheels and suspension), and no issue with vibration, while many others, Inc on here and other z/BMW forums, have had issues with both
Just your luck at the end of the day.

Of the two, the Jag, but there would be too much crossover in the cars you mention so I’d be tempted to sell the current Z4 and roll the funds into the nicest, Audi approved R8 V10 I could afford.

Or, if you really want to keep the Z4, something different like an Atom/Alpine/Elise/4C/Morgan would probably be the route I’d take.
