I daily my car 40 miles on a dual carriageway that's is crawling with speed cameras so the driver assistance pack was a must. Just set the ACC and sit back and relax. It will bring the car to a complete stop if need be.

It doesn’t do steering though does it?

No it's not at the auto pilot level yet but if you use a motorway or dual carriageway that has medium to heavy traffic it helps take a lot of the person or of commuting. Along with the lane keeping assist it's nice to have. If you don't daily the car then you could do without it.

My misses DS3 Crossback is pretty good and has auto pilot - just need to keep a light hand on the steering wheel, great on motorways but a very bloody strange feeling as you are just sitting there :D

Looks like I’ll be without a zed until middle of September.
They really are having issues with new cars at the moment. Also orders have been flying in.

I posted elsewhere I was speaking to the dealer yesterday, mine arrived in the U.K. on Monday night :happyclap: :happyclap: :happyclap: and he said similar, they’ve customers queuing up and they can’t secure build slots for anytime soon.

Good news is you’ll be in the next reg cycle so value wise will help a bit in the future

Bet you can’t wait. :D

No I can’t, delivery to dealer between 18th-21st. I pick up the following weekend, the 26th then head off on our mini road trip :driving:

I was contacted by the dealership today just confirming a few details and getting the final paperwork signed.

We had a conversation about new M40i’s as there been discussions on here about delivery dates and availability. He told me they got an email from BMW this morning saying that they were not to guarantee delivery this year of certain models, the M40i was included in this list.

There were only 10 M40i build slots for this calendar year left today but now Sars has ordered one that’ll be 9.

They were told only to confirm orders if they were within their current allocation or they could do a dealer swap with someone they knew had one in their allocation.

Not great if you’re looking for one but hopefully will hold residuals for owners who already have them or have confirmed orders. This will also possibly keep the price of 35i/35iS up at if that’s the engine you want the market’s not going to be flooded with 3 litre G29’s

Largely down to a global shortage of computer chips they are making progress but its slow and realistically there isnt a whole lot they can do without building new production which takes years and in itself requires a high volume of computer chips to run the machinery!

You’ve still not told me how much the grey one went through at last week :poke:

Don't know Andy didn't manage to watch the auction online, if you're a man of leisure sign up for an account for free.

When I was in the trade, I had to go to manufacturers closed auctions (only open to dealers) with the company credit card with a list of stock to buy, was great but it always is when its not your money

I used to go with my mate sometimes to the trade ones. Great when you’re spending someone else’s money.

Went to register for account there and it said I couldn’t as it was already a live account so just had to reset password

See a few low mileage E85’s going through and a nice 23i but not so sure on the interior combo
