Even the 286bhp version would smoke an si but for the investment i would want more than that i think.
Don't forget the Si also has a 3.23 final drive as opposed to 3.07 for the pre-facelift. Suppose the power and torque delivery might be better on the S/C version, not saying it isn't a viable proposition or anything, but it never quite seems to work out.

That means the si is longer geared right? :D

Just realsed theres no or import duty from the EU, not sure if you still pay VAT though?

Have emailed G-Power to find out how to order.

Interestingly they say it's designed to be easy to fit by someone with basic spanner skills which would make this a LOT more viable.

Nah gearing is the other way, numerically higher means more grunt at the wheels.

Yep if you could fit it yourself it would be a good move though. Think the VAT is included if it's bought in the EU?

looking at the photo if im reading it correct there is no intercooler and the filter is way too small, why go for this when TTS at silverstone will fit a Rotrex (this looks a copy)for the same money
i had a rotrex on my s2000 and it gave 50% more hp thats not dyno dick waving thats a true 50% more than what it went in with, i also had a custom air filter made by ITG and they gave me a ratio of mm square to HP but the trick was you had to up the HP by 20% to allow for the HP losses the charger takes, what they said was if you see 400 hp at the crank its actually producing (sucking air in) 480 hp but diverting 80 to the charger rather than the wheels, it kind of makes sense, i ended up with a filter about the same diameter as a 2.5 ltr tin of paint and about 1.5 longer, the guy at ITG said because its a fan it will suck air through any filter but to get that much through a small filter you loose all filtering capabillities

Ok guys i have been on contact with G-Power

They sent me this pricelist/orderform which i have hosted.

http://www.box.net/shared/6rv7q4c7dn

The 2500 euros excludes German VAT (19%) and delivery. But the 5% discount also applies to the 306bhp upgrade version which itself is only 500 euros.

so total price:

2500 euros for the system
500 euros 306bhp upgrade
- 5% aditional discount
= 2850 euros
+ 19% VAT
= 3391 euros
= £2874 total + delivery (at todays exchange rate)

Fitting (in Munich) is £784 and also includes the 5% discount until the end of december. But im sure you could find somewhere in the UK to fit it for less than that when you consider the cost of getting there. I will speak to Evolve Automotive in Luton to see what they can do.

Dammit i have the funds sat in my bank, today was literally the day i was going to write out a cheque to pay off the loan i took out to buy the car!

before commiting talk to Richard at TTS, hes always looking for new cars to add to his list
check out the rotrex web site and TTS website
i have no intrest in this other than recomending a good company

a point to make about this is the g-power s-charger is centrifugal compared with the ess ones which are twin screw, might not make much difference but thats probably why its cheaper than the ess option.

Evolve say they do match the G-Power prices and will have no problem doing the fitting. Just waiting to hear how much they want for the lot.
