Thought this might interest some of you - no connection with the company, just arrived in my e mail in box. Yes.... I am quite tempted at this price!

I wish you hadn't posted that....... :D I want one of those..........................lots......... :D :D :D

Damn, that is tempting. Not much of an increase though 55BHP on the 3.0 litre, i'm sure if have seen others that offer near Z4M figures.

55bhp is about right for a basic SC, as most will ony take it up to 280-300 with a RR remap as well, but thats still very good imo. When we spend up to a grand on air filters which will give max 15bhp gain in the right conditions.

Saying that i just spend 30k on a fiat 500! And went from 17bhp to 40 ish! Poo

Though it was on GT5

Mate, 55hp for 2.5k isnt bad at all! And you could always gain even more later on with some modifications.

I am very tempted by this. But i have many questions:

How do you actually place an order? The website is crap.

Will the price be + delivery + 10% import fee + VAT? that would make it (assuming £150 delivery) = 3435 euros or £2900 unless i could drive to Munich to pick it up?

Whos going to fit it and for how much? If i fit it myself then whats the warranty situation?

How much to upgrade the kut to proper power? 55bhp is a bit weak if youre going down the SC route but upgrades to the next stage up can be ££££'s.

tomTVR, you ask about warranty but i think you know the answere really lol

I was refering to the supercharger warranty itself not the one on the car (which expired years ago!). If you fit it properly yourself then would they pay out for a problem with the kit?

Ca-automotive charge £700 to fit the ESS systems which is a bit saving if you have the skills. The ESS system is supposed to be DIY fittable.

stupid me, your question makes more sense, as with any company, if they can get out of anything they will, so i am sure they would try and blame your installation if something goes wrong

tomTVR, Must be looking at around 4k fitted. For that cash I think I'd see about getting a 3.0Si or an ///M instead.

just reading what it says about the package, id imagine it would come with a fueling/ignition remap? it does say about it but i would have thought a live dyno remap would be better? is it possible to get a few more horses on top of their quoted figure if you did this?
it does look a very interesting possiblity, especially if its designed to be easier to install yourself :) would love the sound of a supercharger!!!

For £500 you can up the power to 306bhp. That is still slightly less than the ESS kit (315bhp) but seems to be a lot cheaper. I could live with 306 i think.

Evolve Automotive are the uk G-Power dealers, ill see if they are passing on the discount.

I have been researching the subject of supercharing recently. Ca-automotive want £5k fitted for the ESS (315) kit. If i could have the G-Power (306) for nearer 4k then i may just be tempted.

Even the 286bhp version would smoke an si but for the investment i would want more than that i think.

I know 3 e46 cars fitted with the ESS kit, although very good, not one is 315bhp. More like 290 ish at the flywheel.

Don't forget the Si also has a 3.23 final drive as opposed to 3.07 for the pre-facelift. Suppose the power and torque delivery might be better on the S/C version, not saying it isn't a viable proposition or anything, but it never quite seems to work out.
