Wow, looks amazing.

Agree with the black wheels, but really looks very good. I think those headlights look better then clear ones!

Need a stubby thoug :poke:

Looks fantastic! but we all want to see the finish inside the doors as that's where cool could become naff. :)

Looks cool :)

Still thinking i would go white pillars and roof though. Suppose you can always get them wrapped if you want to later.

A VERY quick PS...

Love the car I think its great. Really nice finish! My only dislike is the lights but everyone to their own! Think it would look nicer clear.

Tip-Ex the roof... good idea :)

Wowzer did not notice that at all!!! just been out to check and the front one is a tiny little bulge in the sideskirt in line with the jacking point - must have done it whilt cahnging wheels / brakes or something - never noticed at all when it was grey - cheers white  back one doesnt seem visable or feel like theres anything there at all :? can only assume its a shodow on the pic maybe? On a good note though, if white shows up imperfections as much as this, i am more than happy with my overall bodywork condition on the car considering its age :D

lights were done in window tinting film agaisnt the guys better judgement as its very brittle and not meant for use on the outside, but i wanted to see what it would look like so coaxed him into doing it for the time being - proper translucent black vinyl is now on order and will be replaced when it arrives :D

for all you inside-door pic hunters - will post one tomorrow, but honestly it doesnt look odd at all!!! i can imagine it would look random on a red or garish colour car, but the white black & grey all go well together and the grey ties in with the grey on my interior plastics when the door is open, so looks fine really :D as always tho, i'll let you guys judge...........

I love this car, looks great in white with the black contrasts - great job, and very individual

I'm not sure about it. I like the idea of getting a brand new finish back onto a car, need to see interior blend. It's only my opinion though, from someone who changes his mind like the wind... I don't like the black additives on the lights, but it sounds like a temporary measure. Very interesting though.... I'm thinking it could even be a refresh of the same colour, e.g. Red on red, to get back some freshness..

How does this stuff come off? I can imagine a ban coming if this kind of thing becomes popular..and when you want to sell, if ever, would potential buyers walk away?

I've been wanting to do this for about a year and a half now, then I bought the vinyl march 2010. Since then I've been debating whether or not to do it myself or pay someone to wrap the car for me. Couldn't really bring myself to pay the money to have it done, I hate paying someone else to mod my car, plus between working and taking classes I'm not really able to have the car gone for that long. So that meant I just had to find the motivation to do it myself.
Bored one day and jonesing to do something with the car, I did a quick half-assed wrap on one of the fenders. Bubbles all over and a nice big rip in one spot, but I fell in love with the color and knew I could get it looking good if I put my mind to it. Motivated again.

Never done anything even remotely close to wrapping a car, but it seems to be coming along nicely so far.

Gotta say I think the black roof and white body looks cool/smart/simple/hot :)

V jealous

Looks really good. Whats the vinyl like up close? Can you tell its not paint? Is it smooth as paint? How is it holding up to daily use?

I've sprayed my bike with plasti dip that forms a vinyl like cover, but its no where near smooth like paint! :P

I think you could improve the headlights by splitting them and tinting the hockey stick. This is how mine turned out: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2953&start=300#p476048

Yeah it looks great.

So good in fact it's got me thinking about my car. The paints in such bad condition with lots of little deep scratches and just covered in little surface ones.

I'm thinking:

Yellow: Body, brake callipers
Black: Roof, wheels, interior.

Wondering how much you can expect to pay for a good job, how well it lasts ??
