Frustrating Outside Tap Connector

Hi Tim, that would be easy to fit a lever type valve there, I found some of those screw driver type isolator valves leak. Has he used PTFE tape on the olive joints ??

I think so, there looks to be the white tape on the joints, is that good or bad?

It's not needed Tim, PTFE tape is for threaded joints. In a compression joint, the olive is the seal. I normally pull any of our contractors I see using it on compression fittings.

Thanks everyone who replied, I went for the Verve Brass connectors from B&Q and all nicely leaky free now
