+1 also helps reduce creaking in the roof as the temperature changes from cold to colder...
When I had my old E36 coupe which was parked on the drive, I found that a very light smear of vaseline along the top seal prevented freezing and allowed the window to drop and the door to open (IIRC I reapplied about once a week)Maniac said:Anyone successfully worked around the window drop freezing?
Sorry, missed that in your post -Maniac said:My problem is not any top seals as well there aren't any. The glass presses against the door seal top/sides and this doesn't freeze as I've put gummi on the rubbers. BUT the lower weather seal, the one that runs along the top of the door, freezes against the glass and it won't drop when opening. I can't put product on this seal as the window runs through it and will gunk/smear up the glass. Its warm water, a credit car (or my nectar card on the keyring).. or perhaps some rainX but the weathers too crap to apply that presently.
