Front wheel rub on newly fitted 19" CSLs

I'm just trying to help. Clearing up ALL avenues of doubt/query leaves fewer and fewer possibilities which lets people help better.

You said you were not stupid enough to fit the wrong combo, but without *me* knowing you fitted your own tyres, or specifically checked them on delivery, the reseller might have fitted them wrong for you. I don't know that until I ask you specifically and get a specific answer.

The "right combo" can suddenly become the wrong combo if someone else did it wrong... we have seen it before on here with OEM 18" staggered wheels. Narrow rim at the back with the 255 tyres on them!

I'd check alignment next. Fronts struts are not generally adjustable (a dowel on the strut top locates the strut top and gets camber ~ -1.5deg fixed iirc), but considering they are the narrower FK452 I can't imagine why they should rub on the outside, unless you have less camber on there than you should have!

Is one of your arch liners sticking into the wheel well a fraction perhaps?

I thought I made it pretty clear earlier but apolgies if you couldnt make that out. Ill check the arch liners this evening and see if there are any problems.

Maybe I've just got my 'not reading properly' head on today hehe :D

I'm sure the solution will be simple, rather than complicated. If you had something major wrong I'd imagine you would have suffered from it before now.

Well, I hope so anyway :)

Are they both rubbing and is it happening when travelling in a staight line?
I have read on this forum that some people have slight rubbing issues when cornering who have the same set up as you and live with it, as it is so minimal.

dav - it doesnt happen when travelling in a straight line - only when the suspension is compressed a good bit.

You are on et35 all round arnt you on stock height? and youve no rubbing problems?

That's right but I fitted 225s for that reason so don't get any rubbing.
I expect it is very minimal contact, as I said there is more than one member on here who have had this issue but usually on lowered suspension.
Sorry don't really have an answer to it.
