any recommended fitters at decent price for this will be useful as well.. THANKS!

Laser Pro Park.... costed me about £220 cant quite remember now. But it is sitting nicely at home waiting for someone to fit them on for me..

:poke:

I have the same as Funkdude, Laser Pro Park. Works on the public wavelength of 904 Nm. Hmm, sounds strangely familiar to other products that use that same wavelength

pvr - what is your experience with the product so far? I hope it really works cause I m waiting to have it fitted on mine.

A week after installing it I received some interference on it from someone with a hairdryer on the M4. The noise was quite deafening despite having the roof up and to be honest, by the time I realised what was happening I had already passed the interference. It is set to function permanently rather then 8 seconds.

Intersting PVR :D. But surely it's too late to take "action" to counteract the interference from the hairdryer, if you've already suffered the interference...?

(I hope you're talking about what I'm thinking you are...)

Uh - interference means that the parking sensor thinks there is an obstruction and gets all confused and sends all sorts of 904Nm data back which confuses both sides ....

What a lovely bit of kit it is, saved my bacon a couple of times. :D

I also have a new one for the Z sitting at home waiting for it to be fitted!

A Group fit maybe? :P

How have you fitted it on the Z? Any problems with it catching the bottom of the number plate? On the M3, it just sits perfect under the number plate.

Gottcha...

:)

Update!

I have finally got it installed. Does anyone know how can I get it tested to make sure it is doing what it is suppose to do?

The parking distance function appears to be working and the green light is flashing as described. However I can never tell if it is going to response to the "hair dryer". Does anyone have one of those gadgets where I can get it tested?

Reason why I am concerned is because I have bought another set for my old man and his doesnt work after being tested and is now going through all sorts of trouble trying to claim money back / get replacement. He isnt based in the country tho so no good for me!

:driving:

where / who is the vendor?? Do you think they would mind if I contact them for a quick test?

Also i am aware that the system can be updated when needed. How would we know if there is a new update available for the system?
