Ive got Uniroyal Rainsport 3s but then I live in Wales

Top tyres you won't fault but no longer the bargain tyre they once was.
Prices are up there now with the big names which makes them look expensive. Rainsport5s are also out now so why would you buy 3 if similar money?
I'm a little like yourself, living in Lancs i like a tyre that can operate well in the wet , ploughing through standing water on the M65 is a regular occurrence & I like to know the car will stay planted.
The Sport Maxx Rt do well in the rain tests so I'm happy to give them a go

No PASM or Sport spec on my 997 , its is on the peasant spec springs equivalent to Bmw Se so rides over those pebbles like a 7 series
I'm currently looking to rubber up a freshly refiurbed set of 224s for the ZMR , seriously considering the Dunlop SportMaxx RT with mfs ( Dunlops extra rim protection)

Well I had to chuckle, I’ve got the SportMaxx RT on my summer wheels (18”) on my Volvo XC70!

Seemed a strange conjunction 911 and XC70..

Having said that, great ride and sticks well when I cock it up in a dark corner in the Scottish Borders..

Not quite the Dunlops are for some 224s I'm putting on the ZMR I recently bought, the 997 is on Vreds
