Slightly off topic, but I have to say Mr Exdos, having fettled with the OEM silencers in a similar way to you, they sound pretty good Lots of new burbles and pops and a bit more raucous, but retaining the overall OEM look and sound.

Also noticed from the parts diagram that my car is missing the little scoop that sits next to the radiator and points upwards... is this necessary, should I go and replace it?

In my first posting in this thread, I thought I spelled out the the situation quite clearly and I also wrote:
"When the volunteers have had the opportunity to test the mod, I will then disclose the full details of the mod on the forum for all and sundry to see and discuss.
