Mines easy, my name is Steve well to my Mother Stephen, but to every one else Steve.
The converted bit is easy as well after many, many years of being a British Sports car enthusiast and owning lots of different British sports cars, from Triumph Spitfires, TR7’s, MG Midgets, MGB’s, MGBGT’s and more recently MGF’s and finally an MG TF and being an active member of the MG Owners club and MG car club, I finally succumbed and in doing so lost lots of friends when I bought a BMW Z4. I became a convert to the BMW experience, hence ‘Converted Steve’.
And I’m really not joking when I say I lost a lot of friends, the MG lot are a strange breed, take everything very seriously, I had friends who came to club meets in MG jackets, with MG hats, MG gloves, MG sun glasses, MG hoodies, MG socks, drank out of MG mugs or glasses, all a bit sad really
I got loads of stick on facebook when I posted pictures of the Z4.
I suppose it all really started when I completed my Indentured Apprenticeship at ‘Donald Healey Motors’ in the early 70’s and fell in love with two cars I have never owned the Healey 3000 and Austin Healey Sprite
Got to admit though, really should have tried a BMW years ago, absolutely love the Z4
