Forgiveness is Better than Per//Mission.....

Great news Ed!

But in the meantime enjoy the (IIRC) Hyundai.

I didn't think you'd be Zedless for long, but I really didn't expect you to have another so soon - credit to Mrs Doe for her tolerance! And I'm sure Will will be pleased.

Now Newlands Corner are charging for parking, at present we are going to the Black Swan in Ockham on the 2nd Sunday of the month - which is a general car meet but we tag along. Having forum member TONYMOR marshalling the car park is a bonus.

I hope I see your new beast soon.

I have many ideas for garages - mostly involving levelling the ground floor of the house, fitting 8 shutter doors, a tiny loo/bedroom in one corner, and having the rest as the garage....? You'd only need to convince the wife

Ahaha that’s the dream like

Congratulations Ed, this is exactly the sort of car you can't pass up when they are available as it saves so much time and money getting another to that stage.

Enjoy it. :driving:

Congratulations Ed, what an awesome car!
Re the suspension and noises you might want to find out when the Intrax were last rebuilt, they generally need doing every couple of years which unfortunately means sending them back to holland, but well worth it.
P.s. Must grab that spoiler off you at some point!

Cheers Tom! Yeah considering the spec, I ummed and ahhed a while but figured I just had to take the plunge and get on with it - I'd spend half the cost of the car again on those mods if i'd started with a Stocker!

I'm not 100% sure the noises I'm getting are suspension - to me it sounds more like brake pads clonking in the calipers; I had it on my previous 6-pots when the anti-rattle clip was bent on one of them. Either way though I want to get it up in the air and get a good look over everything when it gets a bit warmer. I'm sincerely hoping considering the comparatively light use the Intrax will be good for this year and I can take them off and send them for rebuild over winter 2019.... We'll see though :)

Let me know when you're starting to plan a few trackdays too - I'd love to tag along to one :) I'm really hoping to get up to Anglesey too this year - a mate of mine with a 911 and I have been talking about it for ages and have decided 2019 will be the year!

And yes, I'm so sorry about that spoiler, it's currently adorning the top of my computer monitors at work (important for downforce obviously) I've got plenty of cardboard over Christmas, so will get it out to you in the post in Jan!
No worries as I said about the spoiler, can't see myself doing anything with it anythime soon.
Yes your car is very attractive indeed to someone who wants to mod as it's pretty much got the best stuff on there already, result!
I've always found the aps quiet when it comes to pad rattle, except when going from reverse to forwards sometimes. Get it up in the air and checked over and if nothing obvious start thinking about the Intrax. They're nitrogen pressurised to 12 bar or something and do need doing after a while.
Let me know about your Anglesey plans, I'm really keen to go back there too, and maybe (since its such an arse of a journey) combine Oulton park too.
If I hatch any plans I'll let you know.
Enjoy!

Ed - you're back! And in some style :)

I don't visit here so much nowadays, so sorry that I haven't acknowledged your second coming sooner!

Must meet up for a run sometime?

Rick

Hi Rick - long time! Glad to see you back too! Definitely up for a drive out at some point - do stay in touch! I'm trying at the very least to get along to the Goodwood breakfast clubs this year - also keen for some of the Surrey meets that replsced the Newlands corner ones? I can't recall if you had regularly been going to those?

There 2 kinds of people in this world my friend, those who watch and those who dig, Erm, buy..

My practise wife was certainly a gold digger & the improved model has definitely taught me many things about buying... which she’s starting to regret

Hi Ed, we tag along with the monthly car meet at the Black Swan pub in Ockham now - next one is next Sunday morning (14th).

But sadly Rick can't make it:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=113660

Hopefully you'll be able to make it to one.

Cheers, Iain.
