Nothing wrong with 100mph on an empty road.
Gaurentee most people on this forum have done over that down the motorway when its empty in their zed, even if just for a short while to see their car do it

Tim - no need for the flood water comment - is that a dig at someone? Out of context in this thread.

Funnily enough Kev, he knew exactly what and who you meant by his answer while denying it at the same time.

I guess its the same people that speed through flood water.

I'm sorry Tim, but that comment is inflammatory and not relevant. If you have an issue against speeding in general or inappropriate speeding then make your case, but trying to score points by referencing a different thread and argument is out of order.

He just can't stop it can he? TIM, people are noticing that it's actually you who is constantly picking at me not the other way round as you like to make out. Shooting yourself in the foot whilst pouting about being picked on you idiot.
But of course he won't read this  as I'm on his block list.

Nonsense, I don't see it was inflammatory at all and just as relevant as speeding, tailgaiting etc etc, as comparables and perfectly acceptable to make, of course if others wish to make something out of nothing, feel free

Score points? .........right!

Tim.

Talking of speeding I overtook some people today.....

(ok, I know I'm banging on about my new car, but in this instance its a valid comment).

I must admit I haven't been that tempted to REALLY push the Z4. Not sure why. Maybe it is my lack of petrol money!

Saying that, I did get 22mph out of my folding bike on a canal towpath yesterday (measured by GPS). Now that is REALLY irresponsible.

Well, attempting to get this back on track...

Someone I know got caught doing over the Ton (110mph) and because it fell into a 'unique band' it couldn't be dealt with by the usual fixed penalty method, he had to wait for a Court Date. Due to the Courts being to busy and also Council budget restraints it took ages to come to Court.
Eventually 12 months passed and the opportunity to be taken to Court expired. He even got a letter from the Magistrates (or Police) saying that he could no longer be prosecuted for the offence !

The irony is that if doing 90 or so he would have got stung by the usual procedures but as it was in excess of 100mph, he actually got away with it...

You may be lucky yet....
