It's now on Autotrader. Ironically however the one person I am 'negotiating' (discussing price but he has not come to view yet, as 200 miles away) with at present has come via the Pistonheads advert!
I had one guy pretty much the first week I advertised it who decided on a Cayman instead.
Then another a couple of weeks ago, but didn't come to view due to a possible risk of pending redundancy.
I've had a lot of P/X offers, none of which have been suitable.
That said, I have narrowed the replacement car down to a handful of models which have the requisite boot space for 2 dogs and a baby. Octavia vRS, Saab 9-5 Aero, Legacy 3.0R, 545i (estates).
BMW Leicester offered 21k as a starting point against a 550i touring they have but I don't really want to spend extra. I would rather buy one of the above cars which are 5k-10k and put the remaining cash back into my mortgage.
I did come close to taking a guy up on a swap for a 335d touring but the boot on 3er tourings isn't quite big enough.
I'm also talking to my employerr about chopping my company car in early (the 1 series) but that is looking like an expensive option. Funny, I nearly chose an Octavia 2.0T vRS estate (because I prefer the styling over the hatch) back in late 2007 when I chose my car but decided on the 118d because of lower taxation. If I had gone with the Skoda that would have been perfect!
