Is anyone know if any of the adaptors mention will also fit the Nilfisk ones? :?

Kew/alto fitment matey same as the halfords washer

@tweed - megs apc is one of the safer apc's on the market and will certaily help do the strip back for a heavier cleanse/wax cycle.

@pawnsacrifice - I foam the whole car including wheels ( this is after cleaning the wheels firstly ) doesnt do an harm other than give you better cleaning results.

Nothing to do with foaming, but there's a garage kit which just popped up on Argos too for £50...

Awesome thread.. I've been wanting one for a while & there's some good links and reviews here..

Shame that one from Argos at Half Price is out of stock virtually everywhere.. it seems too much of a risk to get a £40 from Halfords.. can it really compare?

I was thinking the same, but based on Scott's review and a mate telling me his he was very pleased with his I picked one up just now :) Even at £80 it was a bit of a bargain at £40 it's worth a chance. The bigger ones are half price too. With a bit of luck the rest of the bits will be waiting for me when I return from the meet on Sunday. Am quite excited about trying this!

EDIT: Just had the UPS tracking number through from Elite Car Care, and this is on their free delivery for an order placed this morning! Good service.

Andy, that look like a good garage kit for the money! Hmmm.

You'll want to foam everything and everyone in sight when you first use it :P

You only need a little (2cm) of Valet Pro foam in the bottle and top up with water. A full lance bottle gives me three washes. Glad Elite got the order out quick - I only recommend people I've used and they are always quick to ship

EDIT: Actually, do you guys use this on the wheels as well? From the photos it looks like overspray / run off rather than targeted cleaning, or do are those done separately? I assume it is good for the wheels, but don't want to hash it up :|

Hi,

Yeah during the winter I prespray the wheels arches and lower section of the car, then snowfoam the whole lot including the inner arches and wheels, go and fill up the buckets and then pressure the car.

I use Valet pro Billberry wheel cleaner and Megs superdegreaser for arches and to be honest nearly dont have to touch them after.

Ill dig out a write up i did on the boxster doing a touchless wash, Snowfoam pressure and rinse with Filtered water, No contact at all....

Cheers

I bought the half price Halfords £99.99 one (115 bar) yesterday and I'm pretty happy with it. Nothing like the petrol one I'm used to, but still able to do most tasks quickly. Got a bit carried away last night with a few beers, decent noise cancelling BOSE headfones & Global Underground and now I have a very clean courtyard - almost expected the unit to overheat but it was great.

Hey matey, you sure? I don't recognise any of those fittings compared to what I have in front of me, but I'd love one of those lances too. Ta... 8)

I bought what Scott said for the Halfords one and it fits (although wont be using until the weekend)... it slots into the trigger handle.

Was it the ValetPro PH Neutral snow foam you went for?

Interested to hear how you get on with it. It might make it onto my next shopping list. :D

I did indeed. I've got 5l of the stuff and they say you need 25ml per car, so if you want I'm sure I could spare a decent sample. Will probably take me a while to get the mix and settings right. PM me an address if you want me to pop some in the post.

Thanks for the kind offer  but... I've been a bit impulsive  and have just purchased 1 litre of it to try, as well as a 500ml bottle of their Poseidon Carnuaba Wash :P which I think you can also use for foam. My bottle of Dodo's Born to be Mild shampoo is almost finished.

Any suggestions for a nice tyre gloss.... :poke: :D

I use the AG Instant Tyre Dressing, found it to be good, although talking to flimper at the weekend he thought it was rubbish. Maybe its because my tyres are quite new? I does bring all those dark plastics in the engine bay up nicely

Im not to keen on valetpro goods after using a few tbh though Gregg is doing a smashing job of pushing valetpro further over the past couple of years.

Tyre dressings, what finish do you like?

Super high gloss, matt, semi satin?

For a real wet look i really like meguiars endurance tyre gel, apply sparingly, leave for a few minutes then rub over with an old microfibre cloth.

Natural finish I tend to use autosmart trim wizard, though designed for rejuvenating bumper trims etc used sparingly ontyres it leaves the tyre completely grease free, nice matt finish and no fling of product.

For semi satin poorboys world trim restorer gel which can be applied with an old microfibre cloth and doesnt fling or autosmart finish which is water based and dillutable, mist on the tyre leave then buff with old microfibre cloth.

My latest purcahses for the business are dodo supernatural in the iroku wood container, dodo need for speed AIO, serious performance paint cleanser, sealant, show detailer wheel gel and shampoo.

The serious performance products were impulse as im up for trying some new products again, anyone used any of them?

Interesting what you say about Valet Pro. I've been using Bilberry on the wheels and it does make a good job. Keen to try Dodo "Mellow Yellow" Wheel Cleaner at some point though, as Bilberry has a sickly smell, especially if it blows onto your clothes/arms...

Been using Blackfire Tire Gel for a while, but the bottle is almost empty, so might take up your recommendation of Meguiars endurance tyre gel.

:poke: Foam party begin, indeed! The foam lance is great, and it's pretty fun too. I find it really good for prepping the car before you wash with the 2 bucket method. :)

Scott - I've tried the SP Cleanser and Sealant - worked well as a combo.

I've used both Blackfire Tyre Gel and Megs - preferred the Blackfire. It seemed to last longer.

Get some pictures up of the car foamed up Matt
