flyboyaj is in route to his new duty station in the Los Vegas area. He stopped for lunch on his way today and we had lunch with Chris our BMW salesman. Next stop for AJ is Michigan and while there a visit with rabman5. Also included on the trip is a stop in the Kansas City area and a visit with 20ducks. flyboyaj told me ducks better be out of the hospital by then or there would be hell to pay... :evil:

Not only am I already out of the hospital, I'll be ready to have breakfast with AJ.



Wait a minute, that may be taken the wrong way. Eh, who cares, I'm ready.

Z4 on a utility trailer that reminds me of something??
I remember!!

I hope he trimmed those straps or his car will need a paint job.

Nah! Driving is much funner. Especially with that getup, eh? The straps are tied down and won't damage either the Car Hauler (it's not a utility trailer, 2 Zero) or the car. I have nicked a few curbs with the bloody trailer today though. Mostly coming out of toll booths. Those punks make it so skinny going thru there with curbs on either side. The walls of the tyres are scratched up a bit, but no serious damage. The F150 pulls her along quite nicely at 65 and even 70mph. Thru the hills of PA today I averaged 12MPG. Now that it's a bit flatter here in Ohio I expect to get closer to 15MPG from here on out. Even so, at $3.55/gal it's gonna cost me around $750 in fuel alone to get out to Vegas!!!

Anywho. I'm holed up in an out of the way hotel which has free internet!!! WOOHOO! It's time to find a bite to eat.
 
Hey AJ have a safe trip. Lot of great rides like Zion and the North Rim to look forward to. :thumbsup:

Good time of year for the migration - this way you will hit the desert for the cooler seasons and then you have a chance to get adjusted to what next summer will offer gradually. I don't care what anyone says about the lack of humidity - 115 in the shade is more than slightly unpleasant.

We had a general in Europe that would take his personal car via cargo plane to whatever base he visited because he hated being driven around. At least that was the rumor.
