Fitted my ZHP Gearknob today.....wow!

Ok, I've spent some time with my zhp gear knob - removed it, cleaned with wqrm water, then moistured with a leather conditioner (turtlewax), and the put some leather protectant.
And now it feels leather!
Probably it was covered with some leather protectant just after being produced (probably a few years back) which made the leather rock solid..

Looking to buy one of these ZHP Gear Knobs. Anyone know where I can get one? Googled it and found some on amazon but for £58, none on ebay

Just claimed one from a forum member, looking forward to fitting it!

I had a weighted club-sport knob on my M3, if it transforms the gear changes on the Z as it did on the M3, it is going to be money well spent!

I just fitted a Whalen (http://www.whalenshiftmachine.com) gear knob to my Z4M. I got the brushed stainless ball as it picks up some of the interior trim. I got a ball because I always liked them in Ferraris and other exotica. It shortens the gear stick and therefore the throw, it's also quite heavy and so helps the change which seems more fluid now, even between 1st/ 2nd. It looks fantastic and $150 seems like good value.

As has been said by others, the ZHP makes a big difference. As a new owner I was nervous to change to it especially as it is not cheap. Well worth it though.
