Fitted a 'stubby'... what an improvement!

After so many write ups and as so many of you have done this mod thought I would fit a ‘stubby’.
Not sure what my wife thought but I told her and she said, ‘So what’s new.’
But what a difference to the Zed:

1.0-60 times have improved no doubt due to less drag. Shaved 0.00001 sec of my time if I dump the clutch at 3500 revs. Now need a new clutch but what the heck...!
2.Someone pedestrian was so impressed with my new found performance that I noticed the flash of a camera as I went through a 30 mph limit at 60 plus. Couldn’t see anyone but definitely saw the flash of their camera. Hope they post the pic. on FaceBook!
3.The new sound is amazing – a real rushing sound from the rear left corner of the car – masks all the sound of the rattles from the back and really masks the sounds of the broken suspension springs.
4.The looks I get from Ferrari and Lambo drivers is one of pure envy......! One was so impressed the other day that he was definatley so happy for me he was crying with laughter. What a good guy.
5.I can’t stop looking in large shop windows as I drive by at the new look rear end – unfortunately when doing this I drove into the back of a bus. Insurance is sorting this out (I think.....) and what’s 6 points on my licence.... ce’st la vie! The cop who dealt with me was really nice.
6.Wireless reception has suffered but I can still get BBC Home Service (for you young 'uns it's the best radio station ever)

Now what mods should I do next..... anyone found any performance improvement from cup holders? :driving:

That could bring a whole new dodgy meaning to "fitting a stubby" then :D

As of NOW - have had 45 hits on this thread - the most amounts in the shortest space of time I have ever had.......! Was it the word 'stubby' or 'improvement' that has got people so interested. What a sad lot we are!

Am i the only one that likes the RC look of the big aerial?

nope

...but I may be the only one that doesn't give a flying f**k what my radio aerial looks like so long as it does what its supposed to!

I hope you have informed your insurance company about the performance upgrade.
Improvements like that could load up your next premium.
:P

Everyone loves a stubby! Well, almost everyone. I was curious where the improvement could come from with a stubby.....

Ha! Mine lasted about 48 hours before it hit the first class post to another member :P

Mine looks great, a real improvement over that RC monster. Not sure about the 0-60 times but it must be better 'coz theres less ice hanging off it now.

I keep the long one in the trunk (slightly oversize glove box at the back of the car)

when will you chappies in the colonies learn that elephants have trunks, cars have boots :poke:

and a hood is not a bonnet. Bonnets are on babies.. :poke: :poke: :poke:

Perhaps "Engine Cover or Hatch" would be more International

 The desert sun is taking it's toll.

De-badging will aid aero-dynamic drag and reduce weight at the same time. This will further reduce your 0-60 time by .00001 of a second.
