first date

One thing a woman needs is finacial security in a relationship, so they'll assume they'd have it in a guy driving a Zed

I don't think this is true of all women - I have worked hard to ensure my own financial security. A lot of chat here about women who may be interested in what the guy has financially/professionally but it works both ways too. I don't want someone to be with me just because of my profession/salary etc so I guess taking a nice car on a date is a concern for me too.

I have to say I find it completely opposite. I would say 95% of women I meet have no interest in cars what so ever, and a car has no standing at all. Plus no girl has any clue what the hell a Z4M coupe is anyway so its easier to stay quiet about it.

I take it because I like driving it, few giggles, press the loud pedal have some fun

Agreed although they then do proceed to say they like the shape and the ride :poke:

My Zed cost 6.5k... and my wife bought it for me...

I dont think they're perceived as over flashy - not like your turning up in a Lambo is it!?

i think my mrs would rather i had a micra

That is the day after your wedding, once they get hold of the purse strings

I think a lot of women just want to be spoilt a bit and made to feel special (before you all start not necessarily with expensive trips/gifts but also the little things in life like flowers/cooking dinner/taking the initiative to arrange a date). You could have a lambo or the nicest car in the world imo but if you are not thoughtful then girl may not be bothered.

You might as well be talking Japanese and expect that kind of understanding on a forum of which 95% of the members are men :D

oi! :poke:

I've noticed a distinct similarity between Agile Scrum Computer Software Development methodologies and women, the system requirements follow this structure:

As a woman I want a man to make massive romantic gestures, so that I may swoon over the emotion I feel.

Acceptance Criteria:
He must be tall, dark and handsome.
He must have and spend lots of money on me.
He must shower me with attention.

What do you think lads? I'm not the only guy who things this is a rather suspicious similarity surely

Think I better start making notes

I had a focus when I got together with my GF, she hates the zed... but then she doesn't like the attention it attracts which I understand.

On the flip side of this topic, I actually know a lot of nice girls who would be put off by a guy who drives a flashy sports car like a zed.

One final thing...

When I got my car my (then) manager's first comment was "f*%k me I bet that's a pu%^y magnet" - alas having been in a relationship during the full length of my ownership it seems I may never know :?

Clearly jealous and just not getting any

For those boys who want to score based on their machine, trust me the Z4 is never going to score you points(although no machine should ever do that but there are girls and there are girls).

The latest motor that all girls will look twice over and allow you to offer them a drink and invade their space is the following:

The z4 has no rear seats why would you take it on a date

Roadster - roof down, wind deflector out, instant seat :D

And anyway, quite apart from back seats being very teenage-fumbling, the only thing you'd get in the back seats of that TT is a very bad cramp :P
