So after months of searching and being beaten to the punch by various stealers around the country , I have finally landed myself a 30i. Here area some obligatory first pictures:

Many of you know this has been a bit of a long running saga and lots of you have been sooooo patient and helpful over the last few months in answering my questions, listening to my whining and providing encouragement that eventually I’d find one. I know this isn’t the Oscars, but given the amount of negativity on the forum over the last 24 hours I think it’s worth pointing out that even if there are one or two idiots, crooks and utter sh1tbags Snooping in the shadows, there are some fantastic, honest, helpful and good people on this forum. So a big and special thank you to Argyll Andy, who helped me day, night and often early morning with all things E89 and to Silverstar, who’s been with me right through the whole saga. Apologies if I miss anyone, but also big thanks to Smartbear, Ronk, Enuff Zed, McButler, Pbondar and MrTidy who have all taken time to guide me and answer my endless questions.

And before anyone asks, no I don’t want to buy a f**kin M Sport bonnet for it. I’m off to check some salmon relays and to start cleaning and polishing 😉

Looking good
Don't forget the 'stubby' :exitright:

Congratulations! A fine looking car sir. Now you will find after reading the posts on this Forum that you need all sorts of items for your new acquisition that you didn’t know you needed.

Looks great.. hope to join the 30i club soon, may end up in a 23i though as there seems plenty more about, hopefully I can remain patient like yourself until the right car turns up

Was that the one on Autotrader down near East Grinstead? Looks very nice don't think the sellers pics in the ad really did it justice if it is.

Oh congratulations, the 3.0 is a great choice and the colour combo looks great  Are those 19” style 296 shod with run flats?

Great news, and the one you have found looks stunning - congratulations.

Hi Steve, yes that’s the one. I had overlooked it from the start like many others I imagine, due to the poor way it was presented in the ad. I actually posted about it some weeks ago, I thought it was being sold by that numpty that gave me grief when I asked about service history on another car. As it turns out the seller had just chosen to copy paste the text of the worst Z4 advert in the country. When digging deeper I found out it was a BMW demonstrator for a short while, it was then bought by the lady I got from and she’s had it ever since (10years). Apparently it was recommended to her by a friend working in the dealership where it was the demonstrator as a good one, so she bought it. Just shows an ad can make or break a sale, I bought it, drove it home, stopped on my drive and took those pictures, seemingly adding a goodly amount to its value buy moving it and taking better pictures

Yes 296 with RFTs, obviously not the original wheels as they would have crumbled along the way. It now has the stronger ones on the rear so they have both been changed at some point, it has FBWSH including tyre changes, hence all tyre replacements have been for OEM recommended RFTs I imagine.
