Feeling the pull of a 35i

Well I have had mine several months and already started doing a few things..

Wagner FMIC fitted. MHD remap. Salmon relays. New plugs. Booked in for walnut blast and for DCT box to have sump / filter / oil change.

The wallet is feeling the pain …. Although love the car,

Hmm,

I’m going to get the engine, gearbox and diff oil changed in my car and then I think I’m going to list it. Might list it anyway, with a note that this is happening hopefully this week or early next.

Think I’m going to have to scratch this itch

Can you think of a reason why not?

It’s only the unpredictability (or predictability!) and potential size of repair bills, but probably going to join the lunacy

Wouldn’t buy without selling my current car first, wouldn’t be too concerned normally but conscious of the current economic climate.

What changed?

It was only the other night when I got the feeling you loved the car!

The quick drive in yours made me realise how different our cars were TBH - the 3.0l felt much more 'normal' to me, wheras the 35is has just a bit more specialness about it.... sense of occasion? Not sure how to say it.

They are not 'the same car' but a 'bit faster.'

Very different - make sure you want that before jumping in. That 'specialness' will cost you every time you put fuel in, and every service.

If I were 10 years older, I would likely prefer yours TBH.

.

Yes I do, I meant list it to replace it with a 35i/s - not just for the sake of it

I think I’ve come to my senses for the time being, been out in my car this morning and I feel a bit like 95% of the time I couldn’t really use much more power than I’ve already got on the roads where I live.

Car handles much, much better on the B12’s, so maintaining pace is much easier than before. I feel a little like I might regret giving this car up, especially if I had any issues with a replacement.

Think I’m going to stick for now

No but I believe we are kindred spirits. Both looking for a utopia that possibly doesn't exist. I put it down to being ambitious; never being satisfied and always striving for better (or at least different).
Profound that, wasn't it?? :P :D

PS: PVR you may want to ask for help with some of the English words above :poke: :P

It has the heated seats, parking beepers, idrive, chocolate wheels, good colour way, tiny milage ( good start).

Price is even more than I paid!!!

If it has cruise & heated wheel, maybe the speakers upgrade, and the history checks out, and you can get the BMW warranty on it - lots of ifs - it looks about as good as you can get.

Don’t think to long on it if you like it, I bet it’s sold fast.

It gives me some indication of what my car would be worth.
Mine has less miles and I am the only owner- The colour of my car is the more somber grey.

The car advertised looks good and I would think l low mileage examples will be few and far apart!
