Exactly!
Mine made it to 45, with 6 months notice!
Age is just a number. It's how you fill your allotted time!
Thoughts are with you both Steve!

My first wife died at 50, after an 18 month battle.

Stay strong Steve, we are all with you.
I guess you are trying to make me feel better? It is not a competition. I wish I hadn't said anything now.
No-one is competing Steve!
Just trying to let you know there are people out there who at least can understand a little and are thinking of you all!

I’ve never met ether of you Steve and I’m new to this forum but my thoughts are with you also.

Bloody ‘ell, I’m oldest so far, 74 last July.

You've just pipped me as I was 74 two months ago.

It made my day when I arrived home in my new Z4 and one of the neighbours commented that it must be my mid life crisis car

I have just had my 80th birthday and the poll that was carried out had 2 of us so hopefully I'm not the oldest.
Whilst no longer a Z owner I still enjoy the forum, still enjoy cars and despite having half a lung removed last year, still reasonably fit and active.
Good health to all.

I think if I could choose an age to be again. I would go for mid 50
Still fit but at a position where life is more or less sorted.

I think I might be the Granddaddy because I still have a Z. I turned 78 in July. :oldman: I now have problems bending to get in the car. I don't know how you tall fellas over 5' 5" get on. My heart goes out to you who have lost your partners at a young age. I am lucky I still have the boss [wife 81] She keeps fit by letting the lawnmower drag her round the garden and I keep fit by filling in the divots left by her toes, I also go to the gym twice a week.
We both have had a couple of frights. But manage to pull through OK
If I could choose my age, it would be 26. Because you are old enough to know what you are doing and still daft enough to do it
My mantra is if you don't use it you will lose it.

So I still have mid life crisis to look forward too? :D

Perhaps this thread could morph into a find the oldest member (to make them father or mother should they self identify as such) of the forum AND what do you consider to be your ideal age could you choose.

My perfect age would be 50, the age of my first retirement which is when I should have actually retired and stayed retired.

My perfect age would either be 51 when I took a couple of pensions early and just had a part-time job, or maybe 56 when I stopped working altogether, had another workplace pension and no mortgage!

Sadly that was 6 years ago. :(

I think IRD is zedless at present although he does drop in here now and again. I met him a few years ago when I bought the Style 295 wheels he took off his 35is. He and Mrs D are a lovely couple, they even sorted some lunch for me and my nephew who had come along for a day out.

None of us can hold a candle to one member.
'Will-I-am-123'. I noticed he has a thread in the for sale section; probably best

I would like to be 44 again as I was living with a 20 year old.

That was 30 years ago and I'm still living with her but the earlier days were more fun :D
