Hi all,
Ever since installing cruise control, I have had a lighting fault and a fast flashing indicator on the passenger side (left). The inboard of the two indicator bulbs is not flashing, but I have checked the bulb (it's fine) and replacing it didn't fix the issue.
This means it's one of (at least) three things (in increasing likeliness?):
1: It was faulty before, the error was somehow coded out of the system, and disconnecting the LCM from the car somehow reset that coding and brought the error back.
2: I somehow broke the LCM in this very specific way when disconnecting and reconnecting it. I checked the pins and they are all in place and straight, but I also didn't disconnect the battery when making the installation (didn't remember to do it until the LCM was already removed :headbang: )
3: The stress of removing the connector, manipulating the cables, splicing the cruise control in, and reconnecting it all ended up breaking a wire in the loom. I removed the connector again and checked all the pins in the connector, and they all seem solid. There are no obviously broken or damaged wires in the loom, and I tried with the LCM in the footwell so there is no stress on the connector and the problem persists.
If anyone has a wiring diagram for the LCM loom, that would be very helpful. If I know what colour wire is responsible for the left inboard indicator bulb then I can check it specifically. If anyone has any opinion on whether 1) or 2) are likely, then that would be helpful too.
Cheers,
Ed
