Latest rumours put Alonso at Red Bull and Vettel at Ferrari ....... a case of both throwing their dolly out of the pram?

Not sure it will happen just yet, but looks increasingly inevitable it will at some stage

Vettel for sure, not good a so called 4 time world champion being consistently outperformed by a new team mate. Alonso no, he is getting the absolute maximum out of a crap car. And showing what a great driver he is.

+1, 100% agree with every word of this.

I used to get grief when at work about F1 - the footballers in the office all told me that it's just the fastest car that wins!

Ok add in reliability and I'm starting to agree. The drivers are all at the top of their tree these days.

Not for 2015 - no chance - willing to put money on it! :o

How will that impact ferraris sponsorship? Isn't alonso effectively a pay driver given the amount he can bring with him from Santander? Tbf, red bull look like they might be ready to challenge next year, vettel has time on his side to get it right with a new set up at Ferrari. Could work for both drivers.

Santander pay Alonso's salary, so yes, they may leave Ferrari if he moves on

Vettel currently commands the highest drivers salary, but this year has shown he isn't an adaptable driver, well not of Alonso's standards. I also think there is too much young talent out there which will limit Vettels, as well as Hamilton's choices if he isn't given a new contract at Mercedes

Hamilton's choices?

I don't think Vettel will be keen to move with Ferrari. Although Newey is moving away to a consultancy role in production car development, the nucleus of the Red Bull team will stay largely the same, and it's a familiar environment for Vettel. They are competitive, and although Vettel is struggling to get the most out of his car he would be mad to move to Ferrari, who from what I can see are particularly vulnerable at the minute, with new management coming in, and a few years of uncompetitive cars.

That being said, I'm not sure how long Vettel is contracted to Red Bull for...

Vettel off to Ferrari next season, Alonso moving back to McLaren.

Still willing to put money on it?

Well well, Vettel to Ferrari - I wonder if he knows something Alonso doesn't?

Agree with Button out of F1, I don't think he would want to go to a tier 3 team

I guess this cements Hamilton getting a contract extension at Merc, unless the wheels come off again in the Rosberg battle

Looks like Jenson may be out off F1 next season now.

Really sad day for me (I love JB), with Red Bull confirming Kvyat, there is no team to go to as Magnussen is the better long term choice at Mclaren. The bit that frustrates me is how they could ever want the return of Alonso after the back stabbing he did and the fact that it cost Mclaren a $100 million. So much for principles Ron

So who do I get behind next year, for all I like Hamilton's exciting driving style, I can't help but find him a petulant child at heart, maybe it's because he wears his heart on his cuffs
