Always great to see a new track, the expectation is that those races will be good. Since they've combined great ideas from other tracks the one thing I'd have loved to have seen at it would've been a Laguna Seca corkscrew :D

Regarding Sky again, another +1 that it will spoil F1 in the long run. As said Sky will never let go now they have their foot in the door, and if anything will only push FTA broadcasters out at the bidding when the broadcasting rights are up for grabs next. BBC, ITV, C4 and C5 simply won't be able to compete. It's like good drivers being bumped out of teams by pay drivers :- every so often you get a reminder that F1 is no longer primarily about racing - it's now a business and it's all about money.
 
there a german (RTL I think) channel that streams the coverage... then just listen to the Radio 5 live for english commentary...

You realise this is all because the BBC can't afford the F1 this year cos of some stupid sports day in London this year...
 
And because of the wages they pay the judges on these idiot light entertainment programmes :evil:

According to reports Strictly Come Dancing judges, Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood, have all demanded a pay rise, after it was revealed that the coaches on new BBC One show The Voice have landed big pay deals.

It’s said that the three judges currently walk away with around £90,000 each from each series. They are currently about to negotiate new contracts and salaries within the next few weeks and will be looking for more cash for appearing on the show. As well as this, another judge will be taken on board to replace Alesha Dixon ahead of Strictly’s return this year.

Singer Alesha Dixon was rumoured to be on about £100,000 for her appearance on the judging panel, but left the dancing show to join ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent who were offering a staggering £350,000.

The Voice judge Will.i.am is apparently walking away with a deal worth £500,000 and with fellow judges Sir Tom Jones on £300,000, Jessie J on £200,000 and Danny O’Donoghue picking up £100,000 it seems that the Strictly Come Dancing judges could be on the verge of landing themselves a large amount of cash.

Gotta wonder in this day and age why you have to pay extra for HD. You can't even buy a telly that doesn't do HD nowadays!

And this at a time when BBC "stars" are meant to be taking pay cuts.
 
Am I a very small minority in NOT having Sky? Surely not?

I'd much rather get off my arse and do other stuff than sit watching sh*te on TV, hence not buying into Sky. This whole issue with the F1 races has really hacked me off as a result.

Your not alone, but probably in a minority! We've only got Freeview. Had Sky and it was a waste of cash. House was the only thing I ever watched on a channel that wasn't FTA with freeview. I would like to upgrade from pauper spec to FreeviewHD, but I'm already exceeding my 'toys' budget looking at zed bits and camera tripods.
 
Hi Guys ive just got off the phone with sky to check out the whole F1 thing and my options. £20 per month extra for Sky Sports channels and they chuck it in. £10 a month extra for all my channels to become HD ones as I allready have the HD box and they chuck it in with that. Then had a chat and a said I may leave or down grade my package after being with them for 15 years, as I was bored with the constant repeats and said I dont want to pay £120 per annum just for the F1. The outcome was a chat with his manager and all my channels being switched to HD including the F1 Channel for half price ie £5 per month.
Have a go its amazing what they can actually do for you.
 
right now im watching the williams 2012 car being built on F1HD. the guys seem to stand around and point alot with their hands crossed
 
Great performance from the Mclarens, nice to see them lock out the front row, Lewis's lap was supurb and the car looks sound.

The red bulls don't look good enough, dynamically and certainly missing some downforce on the rear, with Seb stating the Mclarens out of reach :D Mercedes looking good too and well done to Lotus

So the best looker is the fastest and some good analysis from Sky, not so keen on the lead commentator but really like Anthony's input
 
Looking good for the season... nice to see things mixed up a bit. No doubt there will be a lot of change over the next few races as the cars develop.

Very pleased with the Brits' performances, but also impressed with how Vettel conducts himself when it's not going his way, top chap. Obviously still want Button to win.

While the Sky team need to settle in the picture is stunning!
