Explain your name...

sars is both short for Sarah and my initials, so I've been sars for like forever, it's also my Steam name as is the avatar,

My surname is Crosbie, simples... Fortunately, unlike almost every other site I've signed up to on the net, the name was available here in its correct form. It's been a nickname of mine at various points in my life too. My avatar is of course the man himself. Unfortunately the forum machinery thinks I'm a search engine bot :D

I wonderd what the hell 'bing bot' was all about - thought you had created your own robot to scan the posts or something?

Actually, this version of the forum seems to have fixed it. Though many believe I am a spam bot on account of my 'above average' post count

I did google "Epic Boobs" a few months back to find out what it was all about, Bing
It's a bit embarrassing though when the wife (and kids) discover your search history and start asking difficult questions !!!

Rob

It's a 'special' weekend club

Yes I am a gamer :o

First game was on a zx81, first serious game was Elite on the bbc, bought Elite dangerous but haven't had time to start :(

Mine came from a cheeky apprentice who spotted a Metallica sticker on my locker and started calling me metal licker
Oh yes he suffered for it

It started on a computing forum. I'm generally rather apathetic towards the latest & greatest technology so merged the two words and techathy seemed the best.

I hung about at University until they gave me a PhD in thermodynamics/fluid mechanics to get rid of me. DONT ask me any medical questions, you might get an answer and it will almost certainly be wrong.

As for the second part, I'm just another John.

Not a quirky name at all but not as obvious as first seen given my car. I used to swim competitively and the team used to call me Jonnie, which is wrong I'm just plain old John but that's what they called me so when I bought my current car John-e89 fitted perfectly.

Quick thread high jack. What events did you swim John. Ex club swimmer here and my son though apparently retired, still swims at Nationals.
See vid Blue Hat Lane 2.

Now back to the thread. :)

I was a club swimmer too buzyg at Matlock ASC in Derbyshire from age 5 to 16, I won the county championship at 12 doing butterfly, my stroke, and qualified for the English nationals a few years running. Got a scholarship to Millfield school in Bath but turned it down, stupid I know, but it was becoming clear I wasn't going to make the Olympic trials due to me being only 5'6", so I stopped at 15 or 16 and went cycling instead.

It gave me enormous pride and I still love the water, hence the surfing I did for years until wife and bambino showed up.

Wow your boy is a big lad and a very good backstroke too, I was shite at backstroke.

Anyway thanks for your interest, maybe we can have a surf one day when I manage to get down to the Duchy.
