Explain your name...

Err yeah, I'm not winning any originality prizes here. First name Stuart, surname starts with C.

I'll get me coat.

Had to think of a name for when I started Geocaching. As I'm cat mad a feline persona seemed to fit with the idea of going out hunting for stuff. The original Big Red Cat in the photo is Grand Champion Mabalakat Flash Harry my gorgeous Maine Coon boy.

BuzyG Just an internet Alias I've used ever since I've had internet accounts. Think it was originally simply because we had a porcelain Bumble Bee in the room, when I was setting up my first ever e-mail account many years ago. Never seen any need to change it. :D

Nothing to do with my number plate. That came along much later and is a pure coincidence :o

Colin - noted - wasn't going to get that one was I!
Pete - ok, given you've set out a third way then your username, unless you correct, this is because you're a beast down under?!
Matt - yes, I'd guessed that!
Bluestreak - that would have taken me aeons to get
Mr Tourette - kinda guessed that
Mister T - :D
Phill - you do need to get out more...
Gannet - fair enough, we're all different
David - again, you're in the "aeons" category
Smartbear - not guessable by me
WLH - no prizes there
Liam - kinda guessed that
Gov - might have guessed that generically, not the prison bit though
Dick - got the Dumfries bit, yes I remember the arcade games, think I was "STE"
Tony - knew/guessed yours. Long live the 538i!
Paul - even I know what a Suzuki GS1000 is!
Jack - no blade crime then? :D
Stuart - yep, got that
BRC - yeah, pretty much guessed that based on your avatar
BuzyG - I had thought of you being a copper or ex-copper - how wrong I was!
Keep'em coming
Stevo

Not a quirky name at all but not as obvious as first seen given my car. I used to swim competitively and the team used to call me Jonnie, which is wrong I'm just plain old John but that's what they called me so when I bought my current car John-e89 fitted perfectly.

Mines from a very old joke from many moons ago.

A Native American brave was curious as to how he had received his name. So he went to speak to his father, the chieftain of the tribe.

"Father," he asked, "how is it that I acquired my name.

The noble chieftain began a long narrative for his youngest son.

"Well, my son, I named you and both of your brothers for an event which occurred on the day each of you were born. For example, the day your eldest brother was born, I saw a deer running swiftly through the forest, so I named him Deer Running Swiftly.

"Likewise, when your middle brother was born, the rain was pouring hard outside of the wigwam, so I named him Rain Pouring Hard.

"Why do you ask, Two Dogs Fucking?"

About 17 years ago I was head hunted by a company that had not long since made 50 people redundant
One of my new colleagues christened me Obi-Wan (Kenobi). 'The Chosen One' from the Star Wars films
It stuck. Although now shortened to Obi

I wanted to use it as my name on a previous forum I was on but it wasn't available, so I changed the spelling a bit :)
Real name Steve

My surname is Crosbie, simples... Fortunately, unlike almost every other site I've signed up to on the net, the name was available here in its correct form. It's been a nickname of mine at various points in my life too. My avatar is of course the man himself. Unfortunately the forum machinery thinks I'm a search engine bot :D

I wonderd what the hell 'bing bot' was all about - thought you had created your own robot to scan the posts or something?

Number5:
Mine was always my shirt number at football. If they didnt give me the 5 shirt, I didnt play and it just became a superstition.
Like Nigel Mansell, I adopted it as my lucky number many moons ago and my daily drive bares the sole number 5 with my initials. If I buy a raffle ticket or use a locker, I always try to get No 5 if posible !! Some of you may have noticed me wearing a Ralph Lauren Polo shirt at the Eng/Welsh meet - I'll only buy those with a 5 on them !

I would have purchased NO5'S ZED for the Alpina, if it wasnt an 04 plate !

See vid Blue Hat Lane 2.

Now back to the thread. :)

I have supported a certain football team for over 50
Years, you can guess the rest.

My wife and i are season ticket holders and just this week have renewed for 3 years, some might say we must be mad.

This is a brilliant thread and very interesting unlike mine which comes from first name backwards and the last digits of personal number plate.
Maybe someone should start a thread on the choice of avatars used, Liam_O fascinates me.

Because I'm big and chunky, and not for girls.!!!!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Non of that is true. Surname Is York but all my mates have called me Yorkie since I was a kid. Think you can all work out the Z part.!!
