Experienced the M, it was jerky

That's the one!

Shouldn't cost more than about £40-50 to get fitted. I know someone that can do it if you're local to Surrey/South London.

Cheers Guys, I've dropped them a line, from reading the description on thier website, I cannot understand why BMW would fit that to thier M cars. Anyway, at least it's an easy fix.

You might have to be patient darkstar, it says on their website that they'll be closed from 13-15 August upgrading their facilities/website :(

I've also sent them an email and am waiting for a reply :)

The guys at Zeckhausen are normally respond within 24 hours. Due to the changes going on there I suspect you guys should get a response by the 16th or so.

They usually ship via UPS but they will honor requests. I asked them to mail using USPS and they did. I usually have to go and pick up UPS packages because I work and am not at home for deliveries!!

Because the Modified CDV does not delay the clutch!! If they put one in then it would defeat the purpose!!

I would think that BMW should not put one in!!

You misunderstand - I can't understand why BMW would fit the CDV on thier M cars.

It's a safety buffer for the transmission/drivetrain, since it limits the amount of torque you can apply (ie: dropping/sidestepping the clutch).

I put my order in on the 9th and hadn't heard anything back so forwarded it on again yesterday.

Got the following reply back almost immediately:

"We had an issue with address verification on overseas orders with our new E-commerce system. This has been fixed and your invoice will go out shortly."

So hopefully we should all be CDV modded soon! :driving:

Yeah, that's what they say, but I don't understand how those jerky shifts with the CDV in, can be less stressful on the system.

I think the REAL reason is so that :roundel: posers buying the car don't stall it, whilst on a test drive. :driving: :P

I am sorry I waited so long!! You should have knocked some sense into me!

It makes one hell of a difference. I had it done this morning. Usually I would feather the cluch and still come out jerky about 10-20% of the time. Today - it was smooth as silk. I dropped a friend off to pick up his car this afternoon after work. He asked me if I had been practicing my shifts  because his head did not 'bob' anymore

I don't find I typically have trouble with jerky shifts, but since everyone raves about this I'm considering it. So where did you get yours installed?

Hehe, you obviously have been reading the web site much better than me... I would like to have it fitted before the 24th, though, but it seems it's not happening.

If you're local to Surrey, I know a guy that will do it for about £40... He did mine, and All Pina's...

I realise this is going back 5+ years but if you still know of someone in the Surrey area can you PM me the details?

Much appreciated!
