Since our separation my ex still won't give me my z4 keys. Can you just order a replacement key from bmw?

This should help, you can get a replacement v5 fairly easily using this PDF form. Sorry to hear you're having a hard time...
Goodness knows. She wants half of everything so to use the zed again I've got to give her about 2.5k...to use my own car!!!!Carol M said:Bad show. No need for that. She won't cone and pinch it will she?

Yeah my solicitor is contacting hers at the moment to establish a few things.Bing said:That's just petty and spiteful
Surprised she's not just taken the car. Can you have your solicitor speak to her solicitor to try and sort something out ? I've always wondered - as registered keeper and owner are different things... How do you establish ownership of a vehicle ?

A head's up if you weren't already aware, if the battery flattens, the vehicle could lapse into 'transport mode' (a glitch on E85s). It will jump start fine but switches some of the electricals off and requires a diagnostic to clear![]()

Also, recode your car key to the car as I believe during the sync will de-activate the other key, as will effectively de-register it. Am sure that guy I used BMKEYS on eBay could make you a new one, but you'll need to take your car to him in Essex
My suggestion is that once the key she won't give back is made dead, you simply make it a 'cost' attributable to her during the divorce settlement (inc your fuel & solicitors cost in this)
This way u can forget it & stop u worring she may just 'move' it out of spite... or you could always hide it, report it stolen & tell the police she's the only one with the other key.... Now that would cause her grief!!! (Any clues I might have some practise at this?)

Good news!!horseofwar said:The plastic 'valet' key will open and start the car as it too has a transponder for the immobiliser embedded in it.
Good luck ninja'ing your car off her driveway![]()
