Evolve carbon fibre intake- now with a video

If you still want to borrow a standard airbox, my offer still stands.
I am in Birmingham tomorrow daytime and Chester tomorrow evening if this helps.

Airbox is now fitted!!!!!

Can anyone upload the pics from zpost onto here?

Can't wait to get to a pc

I think it needs an orange stain/lacquer to give it a bit of colour

Whilst I'd LOVE to have that noise, there is no way I'd spend that much of my supercharger fund to do so!

That is humongous!

Looks pretty though.. surprised they didnt have Evolve visible from the outside :?

To be fair, it's my Alcon & suspension fund for early next year, and will morph into the supercharger fund later in 2014/15.

My suspension upgrades are sitting in boxes waiting for my return, so mine is a brakes and supercharger fund :D
What are you planning for your brakes? The thought of £3+K for an AP Racing BBK is really painful!

A friend of a friend who runs a independent/specialist Italian exotica garage got a deal on replacement Alcon calipers for his customers, but I've been offered a very reasonably priced pair to go on the front of mine. Just got to set a date and get measured up for a custom mount/bracket.

As I'm only buying the calipers & mount/bracket, and keeping the current discs (assuming they're not shagged), it's likely to cost me less than £1k.

It's more for the fact that at 100,000 miles I'd need to get my original calipers stripped & rebuilt, or replaced anyway, so may as well take advantage of a relatively cheap set of Alcon calipers.

Same goes for the suspension refresh. I could wait until bits start failing and replace them with BMW parts, or I can do the whole job once with aftermarket parts and use the money saved from going down the BMW route to part-fund the aftermarket stuff. Still undecided on what suspension to go for as I want something adjustable, but want it to be road-friendly too (i.e. road seals, not requiring a rebuild every 3 months, adjustable on the car without stripping interior out, lowering of 10mm at rear & 20mm at front, etc.). Bilstein B16 PSS9/10 are looking favourite at the moment, but I keep getting tempted by shiny Teins, Ohlins, Nitrons, etc. - and would love an in-car, electronically-adjustable set.
